Good point. After subtracting 6 trillion for the Dubya wars, that leaves 11 trillion. Now subtract the 10 trillion debt owed by January 2009. That leaves 1 trillion. So the Obama administration government has been run most efficiently for the last 5 years taking on only 200 billion in debt per year compared to the 800 trillion per year during the Bush administration? NOT HARDLY. The debt has been racked up by CONGRESS, not either president.

It is the responsibility of CONGRESS to pass a budget. The president submits a budget PROPOSAL to CONGRESS, which then has the responsibility to pass, modify or make their own budget. Congress is owned by the wealthy and big corporate. Congress does what the wealthy and big corporate tell them . Congress robs the US treasury for the benefit of the wealthy and big corporate. The public is too lazy or stupid or both, to learn how their own government works. So congressmen of both parties point fingers and blame at the president and each other while they steal us blind.

Current Potus approval lower than Prez Bush and Prez Nixon. Current debt is roughly 17 trillion minus your 6 for the wars leaves 11 trillion (that is a lot of thousand billions). There still is no budget, this is going on for 5 years - there has been a lot of your chump change unknowingly and unaccounted for the past 5 years and he is only thru 5 of 8 years - Understand?

All countries and empires come to some sort of end; we are no different.
Saving the country is not the issue. Saving the ideology of individual Liberty and Freedom and protecting this is the problem. We have so many people that think using the government as a weapon to steal from other is ok. As long as the lame and lazy can put people in the government to steal for them this will continue. The people they put into power will support the legalized plunder because they are the elitist that benefit from it. The fire that started individual Liberty has gone out, it needs to be relit.

You obviously do not even understand the difference between communism and socialism since you accuse me of both simultaneously . You do not like what is happening today. I understand that. Neither do I . You want to lash out at those who are responsible . So do I .
The problem is that you are inadvertently and unknowingly protecting an extreme form of communism or class warfare in which all property is corporately owned and each person is paid according to his needs and abilities. With the corporations and wealthy owners of those corporations in control of the government and its laws , naturally their needs and abilities are judged to be far superior to that of working people and small businesses. Therefore we end up with 1.2 trillion dollars in welfare paid annually to the rich and corporations in addition to the CEO salaries which exceed the income of royalty. Restrictive laws are passed which stifle small business and allow big corporations to monopolize markets and production.

I understand your goal, but you should stop labeling everything and try to understand what is really happening instead of believing everything the Beckerheads tell you to think.

Republicans must be relieved. Christie is not a shoe in for the Republican Presidential nomination due to "Bridgegate". Who will get the nomination?

he'll get past that as long as he doesn't get all mealy mouthed and start apologizing and grovling for forgiveness. Everyone else looks like small potatoes. Hillary will probably get the nod even with all her decorated past...

Let's get real here. It is just hard to believe that a deputy assistant ordered the lane closings without Christie's knowledge or without his authority to do so. I just find that very hard to believe, and if he is caught in a lie, he is all but finished as a possible 2016 candidate. They will paint him as big bully, and if he did do it....that would be true.

Yes, imagine a politician being caught in a lie, like"you can keep your policy if you like it", or"if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor"!

This won't sink him. He's not showing any signs of backing down. Hillary has her parade of past issues, but she'll probably still get the nod.

it's not about backing down it's about taking responsibility. something our current president seems incapable of doing.Obama has destroyed the credibility of America in the eyes of the world. merely an incompetent political hack of epic proportions. Joseph Biden and Hillary Clinton are the best that the the Democrats have to offer. sadly in a world of diminished expectations, these two low lifes are par for the course.

Why did Boeing decide not to locate in Charlotte when the City had offered them a huge chunk of Charlotte? Was Boeing afraid that the NC republikan legislature would pass a law seizing control of Boeing?
Or was it because Boeing thought there would not be a readily available qualified workforce since the NC legislature will not even provide books for public schools? Could it have been the atmosphere of retrogressive political instability as evidenced by voter suppression, attempts establish an official state religion and possum dropping?

So who and where are the republican leaders who can do something other than put the economy back into a straight down nose dive like they did in 2008? Other than tax breaks for the rich, what is their plan to improve our economy and our standing in the world? So how can the party of stupid do a better job? How will exchanging stupidity for incompetence be an improvement?

UNC Chapel Hill and William & Mary were the first pubic universities in America. NC, through education has slowly emerged as a leader in biomedical R&D and has many thriving biotech, pharmaceutical and life science companies. Aviation companies and manufacturers located here, one reason being that NC HAS BEEN national leader in establishing and expanding the university and technical college system.
The transition from the past textiles, furniture manufacturing and tobacco into a modern technically oriented economy has been slow but It WAS happening until---- the idiot anti education republikan legislature convened in Raleigh in 2013.

Boeing didn't relocate because their machinist bent over when the corporation threatened to leave if their employees didn't "contribute" more towards their retirement.
