Waco is feeling a certain amount of guilt from depriving 44 million Americans of affordable health insurance.

I was listening to Janis Joplin singing"Piece if My Heart", and I thought, damn, this girl can sing. How does she get so much emotion into that song?

"And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards and eat the fruit of them. They shall not build and another inhabit; the shall not plant an another eat:for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands." Isaiah 65:21,22

"And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dewell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity." Isaiah 33:24.

This alone should make Taxpayer very happy. All former things will be wiped away and he will finally have the world that he dreams of.

"The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and the dust shall be the serpants's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD." Isaiah 65:25

She is a native Texan. That is how. Port Arthur. Also, she would not have supported George Bush, that is for sure.

"Freedom's just another word for nothing left to loose..."

"Oh Lord wont you buy me a mercedes benz, my friends all drive porches I must make a mends. I've worked hard all my lifetime, no help from my friends. Oh Lord wont you buy me a mercedes benz"

"Oh Lord wont you buy me a color TV....."

"O Lord wont you buy me a night on the town...."

And Waco it's "A Piece (of) My Heart"

It occurs to me that the people I talk to on Topix are actually real. There's a certain disconnect in this medium that causes overstatement to be the rule, rather than the exception. The chance to"get back"at those who espouse politics of a different brand than our own is tantalizing, but in the act of indulging in our desire to be"right"at all costs, we risk engendering a dehumanization of our fellow posters.Instead of talking, there is the temptation to lecture and browbeat.Minimizing the opinions of others only ensures similar treatment at their hands, resulting in a net gain of zero. So, perhaps I'm going to listen a bit more closely to those who disagree politically. My view of the future, however, has nothing to do with politics, and everything to do with faith.

That's right,'cause she was all about peace, love and happiness. If she were in today's world she would have supported, the likes of Anne Richards,Wendy Davis, Hillary Clinton and Elizabeth Warren.

Revelation 13:7 That's the one that got my attention thirty years ago. It occurred to me again, when the 17 year old girl was shot at Columbine, for telling the shooter that she believed in Jesus Christ. Christ was tortured, killed. But out of that apparent defeat, there was Victory. From this, it came to me that there are certain battles that we just can't win.But still, that Battle has to be fought. Each and every one of us will be called upon to fight a losing battle, sometime in our lives. To fight, or to surrender. That's our choice. These are my beliefs. You are not required to believe what I believe, nor do I think I am smarter or better than you, because of what I believe. Where I am, right now, is where I am supposed to be. I am very blessed, very fortunate, to have been given love, and to have given love back, in my life. The people in our lives, are precious beyond words.Think of those who love you.and the ones you love. The ones here now.The ones who have passed. Think. Are we not all blessed?

Janis, poor doomed Janis, flowerchild and hippie, golden voice of a generation that preached love and peace,a generation that matured in the eighties, lost their way, and became the prisoners of WAll Street, the progenitors of excess, the"Me"generation or as the song says,"a generation lost in space", with no time left to start again...

I was always a step behind you on the computer, but I learned a lot about how to use a computer from you, you're sharp.Live and let live, is a truly simple, yet beautiful philosophy. When I was taking to AZ once, he started talking about his grand kid being sick, and there was such unconditional love in his voice.....i don't know why that occurred to me, Maybe because I've been reevaluatiing my life so much lately, trying to get at the things that mean something.

Taxpayer is true to his beliefs.Frustrated? Probably.Frustration is epidemic in this country now, Taxpayer may sound paranoid, yet there are liberals who seem just as upset as he is, about the Tea Party though. Media simplification (something they so well) has had a role i think in demonizing the Tea Party. The Tea Party isn't the Klan, although from "news"reports you wouldn't know it. Any political group has its fringe members, and those are the ones the media invariably runs to for sound bites.

Janis was different from her generation of me people. While at Texas A&M in 62 they voted her the ugliest MAN on campus. The big me little you A&M stunt aimed at Janis turned out eventually to show that she was a bigger person than all the turds who did that to her. And the asshole bullies never changed.
