The year was 1992, twenty years ago, when following a jury trial, four Los Angeles Police Department officers were acquitted, in April, after being accused in the video recorded beating of a black American named Rodney King.
As a result, people throughout the Los Angeles metropolitan area rioted over six days because of the verdict. They engaged in widespread looting, assault, arson, and even murder. The damage these criminals caused was well over $1 billion!
The store owners used so called assault weapons to defend their property and lives from looter and murders. One man was drag from his truck and beat in the head with a brick. The people that did it walk away laughing. I bet he wish he had an assault weapon.

I don't always agree with everything Taxpayer says but if you read the Constitution and then you read the communist manifesto, I'll agree with Taxpayer, this country is alot closer to socialism/communism than the Republic our fore fathers founded.

Oh what a great day. Not only is today my b-day, it's also my last day of work, I am officially retired! After many days and nights since the election debating my future, instead of adding to the unemployment rate and closing the doors, I decided to sell out and call it quits. The new owners take over on Tues. and all is good! After many years of building my company and becoming what I consider to be successful, it's time to enjoy the fruits of my labor. With the current anti-American, anti-small business, anti-capitalism administration in place, I see no need to continue working "for" the govt. Gone are the days where I contribute to the thieves in Washington, from now on all they'll get from me are my capital gains taxes. Maybe one day, if I get bored and someone finally straightens out the mess this administration has created, I'll start up something new and give it another go, until then, I'm headed to the golf course!
To all of the regulars on here, and you know who you are.....including you too Mike, I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and may the new year be as good to you as it's going to be for me! I'll check back in periodically, and I'm sure nothing will have changed, but until then, good luck to all.

Congratulations Pro. I hope your retirement is a long and happy one. It must feel good to have put all the time and energy you have into the business and feel this successful and happy moment. I hope you play all the golf that your heart desires. Check back in from time to time. I am sure none of us will have changed our point of view..... unless I am able to convert Taxpayer to communism...LOL, and you know what those chances are. Be safe...and have a good one. Catch you later.

Pro, first late happy birthday, second, hope you had a good Christmas and a good upcoming New Year and third, enjoy that time off, enjoy the benefits of your hard work and check in regularly. I'll be checking in regularly until March and then I'll be a busy girl. Looks like you're like Silver, plenty more people and me, what we need in the U.S. is a few less rats in this rat race. Waco and Lu(moving to Texas) have graciously welcomed me, my family and friends too that have sold it all and I'll just bet they'd like to see you one day in Texas. We'll be passing thru, but we intend to take them up on it. I think AZ is going to retire soon and Lord knows, he deserves it as long as he's taught school, props to him for hanging in there over thirty years. I love this country and always will, but I don't love the leadership and as I stated before, my family needs and deserves a little peace and beauty in a laid back place. Hey Pro, we'll be posting off and on but always remember "It's five o'clock somewhere", so keep in touch.

If you completely trust the likes of Mitch McConnel, Harry Reid, John Boehner, Nancy Pelosi, etc, you probably want to take guns from Americans.
If you mistrust all politicians (as I do), you probably want Americans to keep their guns.

18%-14%=4%
So then you are claiming that the defense budget is only 14% of the total budget?

So are you including military pensions in the defense budget or the pension budget?
Are you wanting no government workers to have retirement pensions?

My young son and I were in line at a convenience store one time when an armed robbery took place in front of us. I pulled my son behind me. The suspect had a Glock and seemed intent on dealing with the clerk and leaving. I was not going to do anything inside the store unless he turned the gun on us.
The crazy thing about the situation was when I pulled my son behind me, he gently lifted the back of my shirt and tucked it behind my gun and then crouched down in the bend of my legs. He made it so that if I had to pull my gun, I wouldn't have to lift my shirt first.
This certainly was not something we had practiced.
Anyway, the suspect finished his business and ran out of the store. I did not follow b/c I did not want to leave my son in the store alone. The suspect was caught about 40 mins later inside a liquor store.
First and only time, out of uniform, I would have had to even think about drawing my weapon.
When I was young, I was robbed delivering pizza's. Five guys demanded my money and one had a gun. I did not have a gun. I handed over the twenty bucks and the pizzas and went on my way. The business covered the twenty bucks.

Now in your professional opinion, did I do the right thing?
