These posts are about Silver's attitude not yours. What's fair for the goose is fair for the gander. This is not about what I have or have'nt figured out. This is about, what the Republican Party needs to figure out in order to maintain what little integrity they have left. So if you plan to step out why do you care?
Mikes and your attitude are as contentious as mine. Republicans don't need to figure out a thing. They have it figured out. The democrat party is the ones who confuse non important issues like social issues with issues that matter, like the financial future of America.

With out the bucks, you won't have the social issues.

Or as the saying goes, no bucks no buck rogers.

I am certain the country will not financially implode within the next 72 to 96 hours. But the current republicans are not willing to budge on what is needed to fix the economy. You can't balance nothing till you stop putting out more than you are taking in. The problem is the taking in part. 47% do not pay income taxes. Many will argue they shouldn't but I wholeheartedly disagree. Why should they get a pass on not paying taxes? They are still living in America using goods and services as much as you or I are.

That means, elderly should have to still kick in like Mitt Romney. Soldiers and vets, should have to still kick in like Mitt Romney. Welfare recipents would have to kick in like Mitt Romney.

Since you guys are opting to go to socialized medical coverage, then medicare/medicaid is no longer needed because government will pick up what employers won't. Companies with 50 or more employees will find it cheaper to discontinue paying for medical insurance on employees and just pay the penalty(tax) when the file their taxes. Several of the clients we do business with out of state have already indicated this IS the direction they are going to take their companies. Anything to trim expenses and increase revenues or profits. That is just the facts of reality. They suck like Obama being reelected. But in business, it is just business and business is never personal.

Still don't believe me? Ask TSF. If he truly is in business for himself and wants to turn a profit or generate revenue, he will tell you ALL human elements are taken out of decision making for his company. What is factored in is how he can turn a profit or generate revenue by selling goods and comodities at a minimum of expense incured to his stockholders and investors. Unless of course he is a sole proprietor, then he is the stockholder and investor.

There will be a global recession. There will be a second recession. There will be no bipartsianship in congress. Financial instabilities will make America vulnerable to all enemies, both foreign and domestic. Still think I am full of shit? Look at the cyber attacks that happen almost daily on America's financial institutions. You don't need 30 cyber attacks to cause disarray or chaos. You just need one. We have seen the stomach of your president. He sacrificed 4 Americans while Americans sovereignty was being attacked abroad. Imagine how he will respond when America is under attack at home. He won't. He's already proven that.

Do yourself a favor and go get Rosetta Stone mandarin lessons. You are going to need it.

I am sure TSF will disagree, but I did pay attention when all my economics professors were lecturing. This stuff is not made up. It is real. It is going to happen. It is unfortunate people have lost all ability to maintain self control and think rationally.

Another example TEW.

"Remember those pre-election promises by employers that their staff will suffer if Obama is re-elected? Well, the workforce trimming has begun.

A Las Vegas business owner told a local radio station that he was forced to let 22 of his employees go the day after Obama won the White House a second time. In a lengthy chat with CBS affiliate 100.5 KXNT, the employer who asked to be called "David" said, quite frankly, that "elections have consequences."

While reassuring listeners that he didn't intimidate his staff into voting any particular way, "David" had no problem admitting that he did, however, spell out what could change around the workplace if Obama won.

"I explained to them a month ago that if Obama gets in office that the regulations for Obamacare are gonna hurt our business," he said. "I explained that to them and I said 'you do what you feel like in your heart you need to do, but I'm just letting you know as a warning, these are things I have to think of as a business owner.'""

It looks like you were right, doomsday is just around the corner. My cow went dry the next day after the election, the chickens stopped laying eggs, the well pump crapped out, the radiator on my truck started leaking and my tractor wouldn't start. I know this is because Obama was elected and the 1% rich will not get more tax breaks. I am quite sure none of this would have happened if Mitt the Twitt had been elected because he would have leaped tall buildings with a single bound, paid off the national debt which CONGRESS ran up, put two cars in every garage and two cvhickens in every pot. Damn it!!! My eyes are swollen and my nose is stopped up from all the whining, bitching, crying, pissing and moaning. And to think this will last for at least another 4 years!! Hell, I think I will just move to PR where my racist ass will be put out of my misery when I express my racism to the locals.

You misintrepret. I like , admire and respect Billy Graham who is 94. I will defend the elderly against attacks form anyone. Not so for Franklin, who is using his father's good name to smear around in the dirty business of politics. Its about time for Franklin to receive a Form 1040 and pay county taxes on the King Air and Cessna Caravans.

Not often, but once again we agree. The tea party candidates killed you, particularly in the Senate races. You need to take your party back or you are dead in the water for the future elections. The RNC needs a leader with guts, and not one who will appease the tea party extremists. Maybe one of your moderate Senators who was defeated in the primary maybe a good choice. You have big time work to do, or the House make up may just change in the mid term 2014 election.

Thus, all the great things Obama's going to do for the economy begins:

http://www.cnbc.com/id/49729998

As one of the posters said below this article, Obama carried California. Now many of those with probably a good lifestyle never knew what was going to hit them because the layoffs were announced after the election results. Looks like their happy asses will be moving forward, right on out the door.

Our students have contributed to this program for years. This operation is very good. He needs to get out of partisan politics. He probably loses some potential support due to his extreme political position. Sad, but true. I don't agree with any minister (of either party) being publically involved in the political landscape. And yes, this does include Jeremiah Wright.

Lu, since my daughter was about 13 years old, we started working at "Operation Shoe Box" and it's a tradition. We also get into making our shoe boxes and I'd really love to see the faces of the children that have nothing when they receive them. It bothers me to see the children in other countries without shoes walking around in trash, so during the summer I pick up flip-flops or any cheap shoes and put them in the boxes. I figure anthing is better than nothing when you don't have shoes. Working at "Operation Shoe Box" sure helps me put things in perspective and appreciate what I have.

Lu, you may have done this, but my family has always tried to take humanitarian trips to other countries and I always came back with a bittersweet feeling. I'm glad we helped, but know it will only last for a short time. This is kind of how I feel about the shoe boxes.

Yes, shoes are the best. I've helped out with shoebox more than I can say, it's a great cause. No matter, children are the innocent of the world. A friend of mine is CFO of an outreach and she goes everywhere, she said never fails to amaze her how children just roll with their situations. We are truly blessed in this country. That is unless you are in the northeast, where today if your license plate is odd number you can get gas. Tomorrow the even numbers.

I hate to burst your bubble, but you my friend live in a soverign state. In a soverignty, all persons and property belong to the soverign (king). This comes to us from old English law and is the logic behind the fact that you have to pay taxes to remain on the property that you believe (mistakenly) is yours. It is the logic behind the FACT that the state can take even your life for certain offenses, since you are the property of the state. And no, even that is is not the same as socialism.
<quoted text>
So you want to go back to the Magna carta. The document that the English Barons come up with to control an out of controls feudal King. It is obvious you have no understanding of why this document came to be. Nor do you have any understanding of how it affects this had on common man or are tax system we have today. Yours is the socialist mindset that has destroyed freedom and enslaving people to your fascist state.
