We had a good system until people learn they could use the government to steal from their neighbors. I see you thing people that believe in indiviual freedom should go to another country.
Americans do not need to go to any other country to find freedom. We just need to have the courage to defend what is ours.
Let's take the romanticization of the native american indian for instance. They lived in harmony until the white man came to this country? They took form nature only what they could return, sure. But, did not each tribe have a chief, warriors, hunters, gathers, medicine men, etc. There were wars amoung tribes for one reason or another.
Are'nt we all in one way or another by human nature driven by greed, power and control to some extent? Can we assume that one could live in a mountain top cave and never depend on another for their survival? Is it not true that if there were but one family on the face of the earth someone would have to establish authority to ensure the survival of the majority?
I believe it is the manner in which authority is asserted that causes unrest and discontent amoung people.

Oh my goodness! Those poor honest bankers were being forced to make hundreds of thousands of bad loans by the wicked old congress.
I am sure it had nothing to do with getting paid by the loan to make them in the first place and giving kick backs to the wicked congress . By shifting those bad loans onto Fannie and Freddie, the poor innocent bankers made over $4 billion dollars, which they accepted only reluctantly after having hedged their bets and shifting the loan insurance to the Federal government (us taxpayers.) I'm just all broken up over the plight of those poor innocent scapegoated souls. I think we should just use another 830 billion dollars of tax payer money to give them more bonuses.

BSNBC? Funny. Kind of like Faux News. My take on the situation is that the flip flopper is trying to lie out of what he said because Ohio is so important to the election.

9/11 came on the heels of a weak democrat Clinton. How many embassys and Navy ships were attacked on Clinton's watch with NO response? Al-Qaeda learned real quick not to mess with America when a Republican is in the White House, haven't been attacked since......well, until this spineless president took office.

Have you actually read the op ed piece?
Ohio is important but not the end all be all, Romney can still win without Ohio. Of course, it's all irrelevant since he'll take Ohio & Mich.

Oh, we are back to the Clinton's fault again? Seems like Bush was president on 9.11.01. The terrorist were so afraid of AWOL chicken George that they just attacked New York City and killed 3000 US citizens? Yea, right.
So after the attack, when it was discovered that SAUDIS were responsible, Mr bottom of his class attacks Afghanistan and Iraq.
That will teach those SAUDIS we mean business.
So when the leader of that attack was discovered to be Osama Bin Laden, Dubya sends out troops to kill Saddam and declares that his friend Bin Laden is "no longer a person of interest". All that taught our enemies is that our president was too stupid to even know who the enemy is.

Was I in a state of delirium when Bush said and I quote, " Bring it on."? And if Romney is elected they will bring it to him also. Whom ever is elected I hope the assertion of authority is, "Get'r done."

The killing of bin Laden has been depicted in the liberal media as some kind of act of courage by Obama. After bin Laden was located, why would any President not give the green light to get him?

That took no courage from Obama. Wouldn’t it have political suicide for Obama not to have given the green light?
All Obama did was hedge his bets by authorizing the admiral in charge to proceed only under various conditions. This meant that success would be credited to Obama and failure could be blamed on the admiral.

Making Obama look good if there was success and the admiral the scapegoat if there was failure.

If the attacked would have failed then the admiral would have joined the list with George W. Bush, Hillary Clinton and other scapegoats for Obama's failures.

I see no difference between the morality of the rich taking $1.3 trillion dollars per year from the US treasury and the morality of social programs taking 0.8 trillion per year.
If the rich would stop stealing trillions , then maybe the poor would stop stealing thousands..
We both oppose dead beats. I just don't want to let the most expensive ones off the hook.
You continue to spew this rhetoric about the greed of the rich.

I find it fascinating when people attribute high incomes to greed.

Greed tells you what you want. If you have high income it’s because someone else is willing to pay it. Furthermore it is quite ironic that the other people who are willing to pay it very often (in recent years) have been the politicians who are spending the taxpayers’ money.

Everybody wants peace.

The problem is that the left call their opponents names like “imperialist” and then talk of “disarmament” and think that “dialog” between the two will work as if they have the answer to peace.

The problem is history has shown us that kind of leftist ideology does not work and it never has. That kind of Pacifism thinking only works in the classroom, where naive children are forced to parrot the opinions of their secular leftist teachers who have no expertise in war or history.

What has actually worked in history is peace through strength. Strength deters wars, strength deters violence. Strength and having the will to use those strengths to restrain evil works.

I'm not pro and my computer has just done some strange trick with my fonts, so bear with me. Waco, I believe Romney brings a maturity lacking in Obama that comes with age. He's not out there trying to be the "cool" guy and "Mr. Hollywood" but he will bring a dacorum(?) to our country as POTUS that has been lacking by Obama and whether you agree or not, people actually do start to follow those that lead by example. We need a president that will be respected because he's more concerned about safety of this country than partying while a travesty took place in Libyia. Do I think Obama could have stopped it, no, but I sure heck think he could have acted like he gave a rat's ass after the fact. Other countries look at our president's behavior and judge our country based upon his behavior. I saw people rioting in 8 different countries burning our flag and OBama's picture. Not exactly an endorsement that he's as popular in other countries as he believes. I think Obama is arrogant and unable to compromise as are members of the Republican party. Thi's iswhere an older, wiser man knows there's nothing weak in compromising if it's for the betterment of our country and not about "I won" Obama's favorite little saying. He knows that he will have to surround himself with people that can look past the forest and see the trees and forget what's best for them but what's best for country as a whole. I believe him when he says he can work across the aisle and I also believe my computer is about to crash again. I don't think Romney's a warmonger and I don't Obama is either, but we may find ourselves in that position not by our choosing one day. I want someone that decides it might be time to leave the party and lead my country in a time of crisis.

Probably not, but keep spinning...

"There were Japanese records, admitted into evidence during Congressional hearings on the attack after the War, that established that the Japanese government had not even written a declaration of war until hearing news of the successful attack."
