Hendrick's announcement that he had cancer came he day before he was going to be sentenced to a Federal Prison. What a coincidence! The judge believed it! Was the doctor bribed? Was the judge bribed?
Has Hendrick used bribery as a way to build his empire? Sure has. That's what the whole Honda mess was really about. He plea bargained it down to mail fraud. But, he really was bribing Honda officials to cut shipments to the small, usually family owned Honda dealership he decided he wanted. Hendrick ruined many families.
After the house arrest/cancer con, he then donated $325,000 to Bill Clinton's "library" and received a Presidential Pardon. This was Clinton's last official act as president.

Those of you who think he's some kind of American Hero need to open your eyes.

Hendrick is a crook and a liar.....don't know why he isn't running for a Senate or Congressional seat.
His lukemia was "convenient" to say the least and anyone can fake being sick if the doctors are on the payroll.
Rick was supposedly getting chemotherapy and every one loses most or all their hair going through that torture....but not Hendrick.
Seems no matter where you go Hendrick fans will never face the truth....they have excuses for everyone and everything.
Faking lukemia is nothing if you got everyone paid off.
jimmy Johnson was 0 in BGN and no better than average in IROC......how he can win 5 consecutive championships is suspect.
If you paid attention the last 10 years, you'll see that Hendrick things happen during many races. They aren't planned, for the most part. But, when a Hendrick team can benefit, the "influence" kicks in and things happen.

This might only give his teams a 5% advantage, but, with competitiveness, 5% is all you need over the course of the year. The 5% doesn't always work, though, as Keselowski proved last year.

Childress is right. If you don't make mistakes, you can win a championship. Everyone is good.
So, it's sad, when an owner can influence decisions by NASCAR, as Hendrick has done with Brian France, His influence may only increase his chances by 5-10%, it makes a huge difference.
In Blackjack, getting a 5%-10% advantage by counting cards will get you thrown out of the casino. In NASCAR, it gets you a dominate winning record.
2014 will be an interesting year. There will be 13 drivers controlled by Hendrick in each race with Kurt Busch and Kevin Harvick coming under the Hendrick umbrella, Stewart-Haas (Stewart, Harvick, K. Busch, Patrick), Earnhardt Ganassi (McMurray, Larson), Richard Childress Racing (Menard, Newman). Front Row Motorsports (Truex), and Hendricks teams (Johnson, Gordon, Earnhardt, Kahne).

13 TEAMS+! And, this number is low. He’ll really have a few more shadow teams. Hendrick will be the supplier of Chevie parts for every NASCAR team.

The greed of the France family is too blame.

When Roush was so strong in the early 2000’s, NASCAR changed the rules so Roush couldn’t have more teams than Hendrick. The whole MWR “cheating scandal” where only MWR is penalized, while Hendrick obvious cheating – in the same race – was ignored resulting in a current Hendrick guy (Newman) getting in and even a Hendrick’s guy getting a 13th spot!

You have to admit, these guys have big kahonies to be so blatant.

And, yet, NASCAR doesn’t apply the rules to Hendrick.

Why not? Money. It’s all about the money that Hendrick, through his lifetime, has always been willing to pay to become top dog. And, the France family are willing participants. Track owners are in on it, too. Ridiculously high prices for everything.

And you know that how living in Florida?
I lived smack dab in the middle of Nascar Land (ie; CONCORD not CHARLOTTE) I saw him, he was ill.
I saw owners, drivers, crew chiefs, crew members, shop guys all the time. It's not uncommon to run into these people at restaurants (especially at lunch time) or at the local establishments (barbers /beauty shops) hospitals, doctor offices.
So think about it. Did you see him? If you did didn't you think he looked ill?
Explain why his so called illness went into remission after his troubles left, hmmm

Not everybody doing leukemia treatments loses their hair. Also, many of the camcer meds swell patients. Not all patients show any signs of losing weight. It is ussually the meds that cause all the visual side effects-not the illness.
So YES!! It is entirely possible for him to have had the illness.
Don't judge someone by a bunch of misinformation. Just as important, don't spew that misinformation out as if it is fact.

Trust me, if he tried to pull off that series of events in 2012, Rick Hendrick would be healthily behind bars.
As they say, a leopard never changes spots.
How many heads of major banks & corporations went to jail after the stock market crash of March 2009 !! NONE. Secretary of the Treasury Henry Paulson didn't go to jail after refusing to name who he gave almost a trillion dollars in TARP money to in the fall of 2008 while in his last days in his position. Turns out most of that money went to AIG who in turn owed it to Goldman Sachs, the firm Paulson used to head. Millions of Americans lost trillions of dollars due to corrupt banks and corrupt banking procedures, but not one banker or politician was ever indicted, yet you whiners on here act like Rick is the all time worst evil doer ever. So we are supposed to "trust you" and believe that worse crimes can't be committed and gotten away with today. lmao at all the whiners on this board. And to believe that Jimmie Johnson winning 6 championships that were rigged by Nascar & Hendricks has got to be one of the most stupid statements I've ever read. Y'all have a good day & enjoy the race in Vegas today. I will let you in on a little secret about today's race,(3/9/14) it's already fixed and a Hendrick car will be in the winners circle in Vegas today, so enjoy.

I was diagnosed with CML 12 years ago and I can speak from experience as to the side effects of the drugs used to keep us alive. The drugs are called TKI's and anyone suffering from CML will have to take them as long as we live. It is a very expensive pill that blocks the bad white blood cells from growing out of control, it doesn't kill them just blocks them which is why we take the drug forever. Gleevec the drug that I am on actually does cause weight gain I personally gained 50 lbs which is in the same range as many others I have met through the years on this med, and I have not lost any hair as it is not a side effect of this treatment. It is sad that many of you can't believe that someone has cancer if they don't look sick enough to make you happy, never judge someone on their outer looks, you have no way of knowing what they may be suffering with.

Gleevec didn't even start clinical trials until after Hendrick's sentence was over, it was not even cleared for use until 2001. I am glad it is available to make your life a little better and truly hope the best for you.

Hendrick's weight gain is only consistent with that of a man who is confined to a limited space and eats too much. He lied about the whole thing and used the sentiments that good people have for the truly sick to his advantage. A cheat and liar in everything he does.

He not only had Leukemia but did great things to improve cancer treatments and "Raise" $$$ fo rd Leukemia research. I KNOW this 1st hand!!!!! I was at the first ever "Rick Hendrick Gala" to raise $$$ for the Rick Hendrick foundation. "I WAS THE GUEST SPEAKER AND MET MY BMT BONE MARROW DONOR @ THE EVENT!!!! 75% of NASCAR was there and Millions of dollars were raised!! Weather I like, dislike or careless about Rick Hendrick, it pisses me off that HE did so much for the LEUKEMIA FOUNDATION!! I could careless if he had LEUKEMIA.....He helped thousands of us that did!!!

Shortly after his "Mansion Arrest" was completed, his Lukemia vanished. Of course he didn't have lukemia. Hendrick didn't lose any hair and he gained weight and that is impossible.
Hendrick then bought a presidential pardon brokered by Roger Clinton by making a large donation to the Clinton Library.
Hendrick played the system just like his race teams get away with cheating in Sprint Cup.
Not impossible. I had leukemia and the treatments I had not only didn't take my hair but it swelled me up quite a bit.

By that standard I guess if Bernie Madoff held charities (he did) you'd be fine with him as well. Testify brother!

Your Take On This wrote:
Just always wondered if NASCAR owner Rick Hendrick really ever had leukemia because at this time he was facing prison for mail fraud. In December of 1997, he was given a $250,000 fine, 12 months home confinement instead of prison,(because he "supposely" had leukemia) three years probation, and to have no involvement with Hendrick Motorsports during his year of confinement and could this have been a way to cover up the mess while at the same time to pull something good out of it? Tell us what you think, I say he never had leukemia!
Yes he had leukemia. I worked for the doctor that treated him and saw him receive chemo many times.
