The former Samantha Gailey, now Mrs Geimer, with three children of her own, insists she has no "hard feelings" towards RP. She accepted 140,000 Euros (or more) and is satisfied that this case should be over.
So, if Samantha is satisfied, why spend millions to extradite RP? With a good attorney, he would maybe spend a few months in jail. He's not worth the money.
In the American court system, the disposition of cases are not decided by the wishes of the victim. And if she'd been MY daughter, extradition wouldn't come into play, since I'd have killed the twisted, vicious bastard.

Just sayin'...

Once the Swiss realized Polanski was from California they saw no reason to send him back to be worshipped as some sort of Hero and Role Model by the valueless Leftists.

Many so-called "leftists" have condemned Polanski's vicious and brutal crime. That's because they care about women and rape, issues that are unimportant to Righties unless the question of abortion comes up as well.

You must not be familiar with today's California. We actually have a law that states that 13 year old girls can be led to have an abortion without her parents even knowing she had it. No one would accuse Calif. parents of concern for the physical or mental health or our 13 year old girls.

So, lemme get this straight - your idea of "caring about" 13-year-old girls is forcing them to bear children? I have to say I'm baffled by your post...

Will, I hope your question is serious and based on lack of knowledge of California's increasingly insane laws. This is an issue of parental consent.

Here it's perfectly legal for anyone, including a school nurse to counsel (in other words persuade) a Catholic, pregnant 7th grader to have an abortion. Not only does the nurse not have to tell her parents anything, she and the medical practitioners are prohibited from informing the parents, even if the parents inquire.

Simultaneously, California's parental consent laws are so strong that the same school nurse won't give an aspirin to the same girl without her parents' written permission, even if the kid requests one.

I happen to be pro-choice, but IMO too many abortion rights supporters have gone over the line.

If that's an accurate description of California's laws, I agree they're contradictory almost to the point of craziness.

All this over 48 days which are questionable anyway, considering the confidential ex parte meeting in chambers with judge and prosecutor?
What Polanski did was disgusting, obscene and damaging. Yet, so was his sentence.

Hey, Frees Beach, agreed that is too short a sentence for what he did, but you are forgetting the additional time that he would receive for running away and not serving his full initial time. So it would be more than 48 additional days. I don't know how much but it would be mored.

So, Will, you think that conservatives don't care about rape? That is prima facie a moronic statement, completely contrary to fact, and unbacked by any attempt to provide evidence. It is stupid and non-sensical. I cannot take seriously anything you say after that whopper.

Since I never said that, the "whopper" here is of your own invention. So you're going to have to stop taking yourself so seriously, I guess...:)

The post I was replying to said this, in case you didn't bother to read it:

"Once the Swiss realized Polanski was from California they saw no reason to send him back to be worshipped as some sort of Hero and Role Model by the valueless Leftists."

Thus my comment about "leftists caring about rape" was a direct answer to this vicious and uncalled-for attack. Oddly, however, I didn't see you attacking THIS poster for telling a "whopper" herself.

I wonder why?

He's Polish, she was an innocent 13-year-old auditioning for him, and he drugged and repeatedly raped her. Yes, he ran from the law, but let's not ignore the vicious crime he committed or the fact that he STILL hasn't done time for it.
He's paid NO price. He's lived in luxury and prospered. Stop condoning rape and brutality toward women. Or is that just OK with you LA types?
Yes, she was innocent she had sex with her 17 year old boyfriend, and I heard another adult male. She took the drugs, and yes, it was satutory rape. He should have done his time.

Why should I take seriously the unsupported and scandalous babble of a female calling herself "Muffy?"

"Leftist heros [sic]?" WTF are you talking about? This creep was no "leftist," he was a big-time NYC stockbroker!

Typical of the Right, they prefer to simply make stuff up, then generalize about it ridiculously.

Look up some info about a Republican congressman from Florida named "Foley" if you want to read something interesting. You may remember the case...something about seducing underage male Congressional pages.

Unlike you, though, I know that Foley's an exception, and not the rule. I'm not a compulsive liar...which is to say, I'm not a Rightie.

Epstein's a bigtime supporter of Democrats. George Mitchell and Bill Clinton, for instance. Sound like a "Rightie"?

So what if he supported Democrats? My comments about your hypocrisies and generalizations still stand.

Democrats certainly aren't "leftists." You sound completely clueless.

These people MAY have condemned Polanski, BUT NONE HAVE USED THEIR HOLLYWOOD POWER TO HAVE THE AWARDS TAKEN FROM THE FAKE DOCUMENTARY!!
And NO ONE MENTIONS THAT JUDGE RITTENBAND ALLOWED TELEVISION CAMERAS INTO THE COURTROOM, because studio executives WANTED IT CLEAR THAT THERE WAS "NO SPECIAL TREATMENT" for Polanski! Studio execs ASKED THE JUDGE TO BE VERY PUBLIC ABOUT THE EVENTS OF THE CASE, and the judge could NOT FIND A LEGAL PROBLEM WITH THAT!!
(SO HOW COULD THE JUDGE BE CORRUPT, AS the documentary claims?? HE COULD NOT BE! I KNOW BECAUSE I PROVIDED EVIDENCE AS A "friend of the court", in the case!!)
WHERE IS ALL THE VIDEO FOOTAGE???? It sure was NOT in the documentary!
And NO ONE MENTIONS POLANSKIS CONFESSION ON LIVE TELEVISION THAT HE ARRANGED TO HAVE MANSON KILL HIS WIFE!!! And Polanski BRAGGED THAT HE WOULD KILL MORE CELEBRITIES!(Which is why the judge was to ask for a voluntary deportation from Polanski, at final sentencing! To protect the judges celebrity friends- he had many- because he treated them well in court cases! WHY NO CELEBS POINTING THIS OUT???)
Polanski BRAGGED ON LIVE TV THAT HE HAD BRIBED THE PRISON OFFICIALS ABOUT HIS PSYCH TEST, on his SECOND DAY IN PRISON!
WHere are the celebrities WHO SHOULD BE POINTING THIS FELEONY CRIME OUT TO THE PUBLIC??
