The Swiss...what do you expect from a country known for chocolate and neutrality. Roman Polanski probably feels so grateful to the Swiss that he's going to take the top justice official's granddaughter out for ice cream.

Although the man has been forgiven by the victim he should still face charges. If not, then rapist today are being dealt with unfairly if one is allowed to get away with it. Again, all rapist should be made to serve time in the pen for their wrong doing.

Forgiven by the victim, to the tune of about $2 million.

The Swiss made a great decision and a legally sound one. The US has major egg on its face.

There's no egg on anyone's face. What's wrong with trying to seek justice against a chronic rapist, child-molester and pervert?

If the man weren't famous, he'd have served 20 years and no one would have objected.

Major, major egg. First from the unethical original judge's actions (read the case), and now from the incompetent U.S. Dept. of Just. for not complying with a legal, straightforward and relevant request by Swiss authorities to complete the extradition.

The Swiss did what they ALWAYS DO, they GAVE IN TO THE BIGGER POWER (I am refferring to Hollywood)!
Hollywood planned back in the 1970's to let Polanski come back as a big hero, and they would CHANGE US LAWS TO ALLOW ADULTS TO MOLEST CHILDREN!
But AMerica has SEEN TOO MUCH MOLESTATION (priests, school teachers, CONGRESS molesting pages, Etc.
The American People would NOT FALL FOR HOLLYWOOD/THE NEWS MEDIA'S LIES AND BULL SHIRT!

So LA prosecutors GAVE NO EVIDENCE PROVING THAT POLANSKI was TO GO BACK TO COURT FOR AN ASSIGNED COURT DATE, FOR FINAL SENTENCING!!!(there are NO MORE COURT DATES ASSIGNED, AFTER A FINAL SENTENCE! SINCE THE COURT ASSIGNED A DATE, the FINAL SENTENCING HAD NOT OCCURRED! SIMPLE LOGIC and COURT PROCEDURE.)
