Ottawa rejects proposal for CFL stadium at Laval
The federal government has rejected a proposal that could have paved the way for a CFL franchise in Quebec City, saying Ottawa is not in the business of subsidizing professional sports.

If as the government says that Ottawa is not in the business of subsidizing professional sports, why does the government continue to allow corporations a tax credit on tickets they purchase to professional spoting events? I would say that almost all tickets at Toronto Maple Leaf games are corporate and as such are subsidized by the federal government. That's probably why they cost so much, these guys are not paying full price for them.
