What going on with all this price gouging, Internet-Usage Cap. Not mench I think that charter is curveing the bandwidth, lack of better words, posible controling what consumer us the internet for. Then there fact other counties get faster speeds, why are us americans in stone age of internet speed. No offence, I am starting to hate charter and I hope it goes under. Then there is whole FCC and that is another story.

Price Gouging well not really ..its just that as a new customer you get a sweet deal.....why...to get you hooked up....then the promo ends and services go up 30-40% We hope youll just pay it because well its cable and internet and you have grown accustomed to it by the time 6 months or a year goes by...but if you call and try to downgrade you will get a retention offer another promo to keep you as a customer. As far as internet goes we dont cap bandwith Timewarner and Comcast do...we dont have the fastest internet like Korea or other countries...newer infrastructure more than likely is the reason...we are testing a 60meg HSI service in st louis and will offer 20meg in most area soon but that wont help Charter as they tumble toward a bankruptcy

Mr. Charter Rep, what are your feelings regarding the notion that Charter Communications engages in prices gouging, specifically to residents of Whiteman AFB, MO? As I understand it, Charter has a monopoly on wireless internet there, which leads itself to price gouging, of course.

Charter High Speed Internet is priced uniformally throughout all areas. If you pay 44.99 for 5meg plus modem lease you are paying same regular rate as someone in CA. However I have seen some individuals who have older pricing on 10meg speeds that are paying 69.98 when they should be paying 54.99 plus modem lease. So check your statement. Charter has begun to put in place bandwith limits...( a few bad apples spoil the whole bunch as the saying goes..you download kings know who you are out there) 95% of customers wont have any issues...if you computer is running slow call us for a spped scope 80% have pc issues causing this...for all who read this if you want a fee good utility to clean out your pc temp files, etc go to google and download CCleaner and run a spyware program called Spybot search and destroy ...also free.
