If their cable service is anything like their cellphone service...best to stand you child outside with antennas in their arms telling them which way to move..AT&T..overpriced,ove rsold, under performance...

WOW! You even have a link as part of your story right to their website for people to sign up.
Nothing like honest un-biased reporting. Oh, I forgot, AT&T is a large advertiser in that thing you call a newspaper. I buy one occasionally to read your stuff. Every story comes from the NY Times, AP, LA Times, etc. I do give you fools credit for being consistant. Enjoy the ride down. I have a telemarketing position open for any of your reporters when they need it. And believe me, they will. Soon. |

All the corporate big wigs move in this monopoly together. There will be no lower prices. All the power brokers party and ski together. Playing on the public all the time.Their laughing there A****s off.

This will keep prices lower and innovation higher," Jeff Kagan, a telecom analyst based in Georgia said.
Since when in the last few years in Florida has the price for anything, gone lower. Mr. Kagan you are an idiot sir.......... |

I have had ComCast cable for over a year, and TiVo. Everything has worked just fine all along. Starting Sunday, now again Monday I can't have my TiVo and my laptop working at the same time. They say I have to get another phone line. And they say this is due to the ATT merger. They say the new cables don't work together....ok, so now what???????? BS that I have no say in this matter,

Bell South is my ISP, sorry left that part out.

Anything to put a money wrench in a monopoly is a very good thing!!

I like some good competition. Hopefully it does actually help keep prices reasonable.
Just worried AT&T's service may not be up to par at the beginning. I guess only time will tell - their DVR's can record 4 shows at once, so that is pretty cool. But for me, Comcast has been rock solid, so I won't be switching unless the savings are substantial. |

soon if not already we'll all have to suckle at these conglomerates teat just to simply operate day to day. opening up competition? psh. they got us by the balls and no one sees it.

Really impressive that their website is down when you try to get info to look into subscribing.

Comcast charges me $42.95 for internet, AT&T $44 ? Where's the incentive ?

Typical AT&T. Go to their website to see if it's available and it ain't working.
I'll keep my Direct TV. |

Hi Comcast, Hi Advanced Communications (aka) Coral Springs Cable. Remember me? It was about 3 years ago when I was blasting you on your prices and told you about this great day coming. You didn't believe me as you continued to raise cable prices to absurd amounts. Well, the telephone is ringing now as you lose customers, and it's AT&T calling. Seriously, Good Luck Now.

LOL! AT&T? Anyone who has any level of responsibility at all and has dealt with AT&T knows they can't get a bill right.
Savings? Not when they "accidentally" overcharge you for services you never signed up for. Not when they toss in extra items for your company you never agreed to. AT&T's billing department could qualify as a criminal syndicate in a fair world... At least this will open the door. I hope we see more competition enter the market. |

What a joke, when 'cable tv' first came on the scene, just like anything new, folks pay a preimium for it.
To pay almost $100 a month to watch tv is ridiculous. Its no wonder people make 'black boxes' and reader cards to get around paying so much money to be able to watch tv. Competition will be which corp. giant can sucker the most folks to pay out the butt for tv, that was once free. |
|
|
Thanks for the link to see if the service is in my area. Tried it and the site is down. AT&T's welcome for new customers to their service. I'll stick with the devil I know.

AT&T dropped binary support in Newsgroups cause of the great democrat Cuomo crusade from New York. Now they expect me to sign up for UVerse??? You must be kidding! Then they will censor TV programming the same way they did Newsgroups????
Sorry AT&T not buying this one. |

I'm skeptical about phone PLUS internet PLUS TV service on the same little skinny wire. I just can't see that happening smoothly.
But even if that works, ATT will find a way to screw everything up with their lousy customer service. I'll keep my ComCast. |
