You blind? That was not in the article itself, but in the opening statment. I could write an article with the opening statment of: "Obama is a Racist" and say absolutley nothing to support it in the article. Its to get peoples attention. It may even be true, but there was nothing else in the article (short as it was) about this.

Here, since you OBVIOUSLY didnt read the title. "Students proclaim 'take-your-Bible' day." The teacher has not been exposed as anything. Only an allegation. How many? Past or present students? Male or female students? All of that detailed information that is required when something like this happens that just DIDNT happen to be in the article. So, this leads a rational thinking person to believe its a bogus allegation. Until it is proven otherwise, it will remain one. Pull your head out of your butt and get some oxygen. The lack of it is messing up your brain!

Dryad wrote: <quoted text> Ok, ok, ok...for those of you that didn't get the point of this staement, here it is. Soooome of you like to state that the Noah flood story came from the Summerians, simply because the two stories are similar. The problem with that argument is that the Mayans...you know, those guys who were all the way over here in the western hemisphere at the time...also have a great flood story (actually just one of the many cultures that have great flood storiies that wiped out all or most of mankind). Seriously, if you're gonna pick apart the Christian belief, you gotta pick better arguments. No, because as far as I know only the Summerians was similar to the Noah's Ark flood story, and all the other ancient flood stories are quite different. And the mistake you made with using the Mayan one, was that they were too isolated from the other's so could not have stolen it from them. So you have to get your staff to pick better intel to "defend" Christianities ripping off their bible and religion from pagan sources.

Whats the big deal? Why are you so afraid of? Land of the free....NOT ! Can't you see how oppressed you are. In Australia, students can take a bible to school, teachers can sit one on their desk if they want to. People can wear crucifixs if they want. The muslims can wear scarfs, and so on. We can march in the streets proclaiming Jesus, we celebrate Easter and Christmas. Students make associated craft at school. We even sing carols, have Christmas trees, Easter egg hunts, exchange gifts, send cards, and even have public holidays at Christmas and Easter. I take a bible to work myself. I have held Bible studies in my workplace and even advertised them through work. Despite all this, we don't have endless litigation between right wing fundies and left wing tree huggers as you do in the US. This is what a free country and freedom of speech is all about. No one gets hurt, everyone has a voice and is free to follow their beleifs. No one forces you to think a certain way, its your free choice. You guys need to mellow out and live and let live. This is the 21st century, not the dark ages.

Hello Pax... "No one forces you to think a certain way, its your free choice. " Ohh Really... Wait until the Muslims start their prayer sessions at school. Do you not think the muslim Children will be made targets ?? The Christians will start giving birth to cows if that ever happened.. There would be so much of a stink made about it, George Anderson will be reporting all about it, and condemning it all over Topix.. Hell he was pissed about the Muslim Call to Prayer being broadcast in public.. Do you think these Christians will put up with a bunch of Muslims toting prayer rugs and Korans in their schools ?? Not Likely !! So why should Christians be allowed to bring religious symbols to school,, sticking their religion in the faces of others... Theres a place and a time for religion,, and that isn't at school... And if I were your employer,, you would be banned from bringing a bible to the work place.. If you want to have bible study,, go to a park, after work and do it... I'am an employer,, and if one of my guys started that here, regardless of which religion, he'd be looking for work elsewhere... Already our schools make provision for Muslim students & even fund public Muslim schools.(in the name of political correctness) I don't see why so many have their undies in a bunch over this!!! Hey... my daughter was chosen to go on a school summer scholarship program to Australia. I was freaked out about her going so far from home.... but ya'll seem like you've got a lot to teach our kids!!!
