Flirting by text is definitely fun and can be done at all times, which can add to the excitement of doing it. I have lost interest in guys who only text though, because they're usually not the only one who's doing it with me and if they don't set themselves apart by connecting live and in person enough, I lose interest and don't see them as very unique or interesting people after a while. If a guy is more serious about spending more time together, then it has to move away from text only at some point. If he doesn't, I get bored with all the texting and move on.

Why do women continue to vilify and socially chastise older men that date younger women while older women feel entitled to date, marry, and cohabilitate with younger men? Must be a mental health thing. Maybe the absolute height of hypocrisy and double standards might have something to do with it as well?

Let's face it, because we are hot we get everything we want. You obviously haven't figured out that we are hot enough and you must clamor for our attention.

What does this article have to do with being Jewish????...I won't even get into that discussion. Anyways, I agree with Chicago Gal...texting is fun but it should not be the only form of conversation. If you can't hold an actual conversation, you are not smart enough to date. Sorry the world isn't fair... get over it. It also shows a lack of effort and interest in the person you are "dating." Also, the girl in the article should have known better...a bar is not a place where you are going to meet a potential boyfriend!

It's so much easier to just dial the phone and talk. I don't have the patience to press those tiny buttons on my phone to type out little messages. Have I texted back and forth? Yes. It's just not my preferred method of communication. Same with chatting via IM....come on! If I wanted to type a book, I would. Well, it just seems impersonal....

I agree with the article... Most guys arent that quick in conversation, and with texts, they are able to take their time and say something to impress the girl they are courting!!!
If only my ex was as intelligent... sighhh
