Let me just say that the teacher I am accusing of rape is currently the head of the science department. The teacher I am accusing of sexual misconduct is was and I think still is a chemistry teacher. You should be able to figure it out now.

CONCERNED PARENT wrote: Andrea I am sorry that you were treated so unjust. Thank you for bringing this to My attention as a parent. I can only speak for myself when I say stand strong in what you are fighting for. You are not only fighting for YOURSELF you are figthing for OUR KIDS as well. I personally stand behind you in support. I too feel as though WBH keeps things from the parents. It is time for a change. Please attend the meeting that is planned for 7 May @ 7:00 pm. I have thought about wearing a name tag that says CONCERNED PARENT on it. It would be nice to have a face to put with these names. I haven't decided yet. <quoted text> You could help by writing to Portsmouth DA Earle Mobely, the crime of rape I reported to the Portsmouth police because that is where the crimes took place. DA Mobely decided not to prosecute. I have reason to believe I was not given a fair shake. But the police at least communicated with me in writing. I have been trying to get a formal grievance procedure with the Chesapeake City Schools. I have asked for a way to procede in an official manner in writing and have received nothing. These things are difficult to prove but I know that one witness to teacher misconduct, although not a witness to the rape was not called. The detective left her a message and then Mobely decided not to prosecute. I have an email that says my friend got one message from the detective but then the detective never called back.

WBHS Grandma wrote: <quoted text>It is hard to believe these teachers would still be there. What age would they be now. I had just turned 17 and it was my senior year of high school .(I skipped sixth grade). The teacher who I have accused with rape was 26 at the time to the best of my knowledge , so that would make him say 58. The other teacher who could only be charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor which is a misdemeanor and the statute of limitations has run out was approximately the same age. Both of these teacher's name is in a police report filed in the city of Portsmouth.

Another THUG in our schools. I'm just wondering why the Chesapeake School District has not taken any real action as of yet as this is becoming an alarming trend! Probably because they (administrators) are all hoping that this will all fade away. A 19 year old student, he must be stellar! Why is there not a picture posted of this THUG? He SHOULD have a brand new mug shot to have posted! I'm anxious to see all his fellow "students" that will post to defend his felonious actions.

I started to read the last post and thought I was being called a kook for beating a dead horse. I'm glad I misread. My horse is still alive and I have a witness for some of the more minor "contributing to the delinquency of a minor" violations, but of course the only statute of limitations that has lasting powers is a felony charge. I will dot every i and cross every t until I have to give up on convicting someone I know who is a rapist, who works at WBHS.'"The pen is mightier than the sword." GOD BLESS you and thanks for being strong enough to bring this to light. There are so many teachers out there using there POWER to minapulate these children into sex and such conduct!! I am sorry that you have had to fight this fight, seeming like pretty much alone, but if you can prevent this from happening to even one child. it was worth it.. Anything we can do to help you, please let us know.. Its hard to clean up our schools when its the staff that needs to be cleaned! Stay strong!!

Here's how Virginia Beach handled a situation last week at Salem -- much more information, much more quickly. VIRGINIA BEACH, Va (WAVY.com)-- Police in Virginia Beach have charged a juvenile with a felony after he made threats to other students, both online and in person. The department issued the following news release with information about the threats and the arrest: ----------
On April 30, 2008 the Virginia Beach Police Department was made aware of threatening text messages, My Space chats, and phone calls that were being made that alleged that a gun-related incident was to take place at Salem High School on Thursday, May 1, 2008. The Fourth Precinct Property Crimes Unit and Patrol Units pursued the origin of the text message in hopes of identifying the person responsible for the threats and to determine their validity.
The investigation revealed that a Salem High School student was riding home on a school bus yesterday and had a disagreement with some other students. He made a comment about bringing a gun to school, which was overheard by other students. Through electronic means others were warned of this alleged threat. The student perpetuated this threat by communicating it through his My Space account.
Police were contacted by a concerned citizen, and followed up on leads to determine the identity of the student who made the threats. At approximately 12:30 a.m. the 14-year-old suspect was apprehended at his home and transported to Juvenile Intake. He was charged with one count of Electronic Threats to do Serious Bodily Injury on School Property. He was held at the Virginia Beach Juvenile Detention Facility pending a court hearing.
The suspect also faces disciplinary action from the school system. The Discipline Guidelines of Virginia Beach City Public Schools outline a range of discipline for threats, up to and including expulsion.
The Virginia Beach Police Department strives to ensure the safety of citizens of Virginia Beach, and asks that any citizen that receives or views messages of a threatening nature contact police immediately. Although it was determined that this threat was not valid, citizens are reminded to be mindful of what messages they post on the Internet or through other electronic means. Messages of a threatening nature will be evaluated for possible criminal charges. Punishment for these crimes includes fines and/or imprisonment.

I was at the meeting last night and I must say I was surprised they admitted to having gangs in the school. That is a plus for them on that one. From what I could tell most parents are tired of not being communitcated with and are looking for a change. Hopefully last night will be the start of some positive changes. I think it is our job to remind them of the changes they said they would make if we don't see them happening. Have a wonderful day.
