It's almost unimaginable that Kodak could go out of business. Then again, I remember people crying when they heard Pan Am was going bankrupt.
Few companies last forever.

Sad but Kodak was resistant to change and fell behind in a digital world.Soon they got so far behind that there was no hope of catching up. I was offered a very good job with Kodak several years ago. I'm glad I pursued other opportunities.

It you look at Kodak's camera portfolio, you will find that almost half of their cameras sell for under $100. Canon, on the other hand only has one camera that sells for under $100.

There isn't a lot of margin in cameras this cheap, and that's why companies like Canon and Nikon sell more expensive cameras.

According to the press release, Kodak was relying on alternative sales channels. In other words, they were trying to sell these cameras direct to customers instead of selling thru retail or popular on-line websites. How did that work out?

Things are better than if the REpublicans continued spending trillions fighting Weapons of Mass Destruction. At least OBAMA Spent money here.. and the car industry is doing better.
At least Obama turned things around.

Obama can't fix obsolescence. The Republican corporates are sending jobs to Asia. They can go offshore to find cheap labour, but try and buy a "gray" market camera in Hong Kong... No warranty and hassles at customs.

At least Obama got Bin Laden for a few thousand dollars. Not Trillions for nothing like the Bush gang spent.

Hey Tom - Stay in Canada where you belong. Obama is systematically destroying America, skirting the Constitution and taking our freedoms away little by little. He has to go!
