War man busted for "Sexting"

A man who attempted to solicit sex from a minor through multiple cell phone text messages is now facing several charges in McDowell County.

That was a VERY intelligent 14 yr. old who reported this incident instead of just letting it slide. If he hadn't reported it, the pervert may have succeeded at getting to another child. He can be very proud of himself. He must have had very good parenting to show such maturity.

Theres more pedifiles than him in McDowell Co. I know a man about 60 who bought a trac phone an minutes for a young black girl in Welch. He cruises the streets in Welch after DBs closes for young girls or boys. Nasty pervert. they should stone all these men to death like in the bible. But they don't last long in prison. Kids are doing the samething..I don't allow my children to have a cell phone..Even when they are teens they will NOT have one.

Cell phones and computers can be set so the kids cant do that , It is as much the parents as it is the Pervert.
You can't go to a porn site or My space or any of the Trojan infested forums on my computer, I have it all locked out and only I know the pass word. So if the grands come here they are safe.
I think that if a parent lets the computer stay wide open for their kids then it is no different than taking them to Mercer street and turning them loose at night and coming back and picking them back up in the morning.. No difference at all.
The computer is like going shopping in real life, any thing you want is there porn or a pair of shoes or anything else, even prescriptions can be bought on line.
So if there will always be perverts "and there will be"" then the parents should have the responsibility of protecting them.. To let a child go to an adult room is as negligent of the parent as it would be if the parent let them go into a Brothel and sell themselves.. The parents need to be investigated as well as the perverts.

Yeah he is a sick piece of crap! He no longer is at the prison due to fooling with male inmates and bringing in dope.

its my hope that if there are other kids out there that he has molested, or attempted to molest, that they will come forward & keep this sick freak in prison for life..

I couldnt agree with you more, the only thing is he would love prison when he was a officer at stevens his boyfriend was an inmate named Romeo! And his other boyfriend that he currently lives with is still an officer at stevens, it's just all sick and twisted if you ask me, but hopefully when he does go to prison the other prisoners will take care of him I know for a fact murderers do hate child molesters, and they have nothing else to lose they are already there for life, so maybe he will get what he deserves!

The Block software for P.C's can be bypassed...Children and teenagers should not be allowed on computers with out adult supervision..

There's a difference between perverts and teenagers, use J.L as an example he is of age a grown ass man, queer, whatever you wanna call him, and he knows it is against the law to try to have any sexual relations with a minor! A teenager on the other hand, may just as well know certain things are wrong, but they are young and curious,and of course they are gonna look at porn and all that every chance they get! Basically what I'm trying to say is noone is perfect as a parent we all make mistakes but please atleast try to monitor your children as much as possible, and unless there's some kinda health problem with your child that they need to reach you at any given time i cant see kids with cell phones! I never had one until I was 30 years old and it never killed me to be without it!
