Full story: The Indianapolis Star

As the twisting and narrow street circuit near downtown Toronto became increasingly treacherous on a rainy Sunday afternoon, Will Power decided it was time to ignore common wisdom and go for it.

I just wish they could get these two groups running in the same direction and on the same tracks at the same time. Too much talent in two to many series. If the sponsers would start putting their foots down it would happen. Money drives everything and that is where the money is...

Excellent article about one of the many talented shoes in ChampCar.

Real racers drive in Champ Car.

For the latest on the race in Edmonton and to follow the premier American open wheel racing series visit:

All of your bumper sticker quotes aside, even YOU must understand how irrellevent the series is?

Ask any non-race fan on the street about Open Wheel. They'll say what? They know about the Indy 500. They'll likely know about Danica. They MAY know about the IRL, b/c of its association with the 500. Its an outside shot they'll know about F1, b/c of its world wide rep. But you won't get a champ car mention, and draw a blank stare if you mention it yourself.

Bottom line is it simply is not relevent in todays racing landscape. They do themselves a disservice by acting like they matter. Just b/c they may have better drivers, it doesn't MATTER. Betamax was a better platform, technologically than VHS, but VHS won; the Apple Macintosh is a significant better product than Windows and random PC hardware, but windows won. At some point, you have to admit what you are, talent or no, and go under for the greater good of the sport.

you, my friend, are seriously deluded.

Newman-Haas and Forsyth are the only real teams even left in CC. I will give you Sebastian, he is one hell of a driver. And maybe Bruno, but the rest of those scrubs couldn't hack it in the IRL. Yes, the IRL has scrubs too, but I am not the one calling CC the premier open wheel series in the US. You have to be kidding me! Boring is more like it. Do guys in CC even pass? EVER? That's not exciting to me. Boring street races, no passing, unknown drivers. If CC were as great as you say, then why did every good team leave for the IRL?

Well, you EYE ARE ELL oval parade lovers do. More of you have taken the time to comment on this Champ Car World Series article than bothered to comment on that borefest in Nashville won by that great American dirt track ace from New Zealand.

You the lover of the irl oval parades call something boring? Dashley Juddchitti, why did you finish 2nd? well I didn't want wreck trying to pass so I followed the leader all the way. Danicant Patrick, why did you win 3rd. Well because nobody would pull over and let me pass them. So I decided I would win 3rd and then complain every chance I have until the next oval parade. Please, get serious.

Sluggo, maybe you should pay a bit more attention beforte making stupid comments. I can tell you haven't watched a race this year or you would know that the Panoz is provong to be a great car on road and street circuits. Close racing and yes, passing! Besides the ex-Champ Car drivers the IRL kids couldn't hack it in Champ Car.

I would have to agree with some of the other peoples comments that Champ Car is irrelevent in todays racing landscape. It has become a one dimensional spec series.

I remember a few years ago that CART used to say that they had better drivers over the IRL due to the diverse schedule of road courses, street courses, and ovals. Now the IRL has that kind of schedule so would that make them the better series with the better drivers?

The only reason this article was even written is because the Champ Car offices are located in Indianapolis. You never see Champ Car even mentioned on a national scale other than SPEED and ESPN and that's only because Champ Car buys airtime from them.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Virgo

If something is weighing on your mind it will start to affect your health, Virgo. It might make you feel tired or depressed, or it could dominate your thoughts. You know what you should do about it, of course, but it seems like too much effort or you want to pretend that it doesn't exist. Unfortunately, this escapist attitude won't make the problem go away and might even make it more tricky by the time you finally decide to tackle it.
