I'm not normally one to bitch and complain about a specific business. However, Autotown Kia has to be the WORST I have ever encountered. First of all, their sales department is very unprofessional. They are pushy and try to sell you vehicles that are full of defects and problems (do a CarFax). I have a friend who has also been complaining about their service department, they do not respond to calls or emails. It took her four attempts until somebody called her and she finally got she vehicle in for service. When you get in they are rude and try to drain every last penny out of you - we may be women but we're not stupid. Their vehicles may be slightly underpriced, I warn you this comes at a price.

Whatever you do, do NOT and I strongly encourage you DO NOT purchase a vehicle through them!

Step it up, word spreads fast in this city. I truly hope whoever owns that place sees this post.

Thank you to all who took time to post...I think you have saved me a lot of grief..I was about to go down end of month with tax refund. No car. Been saving for 7 mos but it looks like buying through this dealer is as risky or riskier than buying private..thanks for sharing...rachel

Anybody ever reported them to the BBB? I don't know how much of an effect the BBB has nowadays, but if they run their business this dirty, then the BBB used to be the place to drag their name through the mud.
.

The BBB is a just a joke! The BBB survives on membership fees, which are paid by the business. So, when a customer complains, who do you think the BBB will side with? They are not going to bite the hand that feeds them. The BBB is one of the biggest scams going. A business that is a member of the BBB means nothing to me. Been there, done that.

I was in there this weekend to purchase a used Honda Civic. Made a deal with there salesmen. Signed a paper at his desk for the full advertised price plus $1000. There advertised prices aren't the real advertised prices, they include $1000 discount if you go through there financing program. Thought that was a little shady but I know they had the small print at the bottom of the ad. Go over to the sales managers desk and he prints off a bill of sale. I look down at the bill of sale just as I was ready to pay and they tacked on a $599.00 administration fee. At no time did anyone ever tell me about this or did it show anywhere on there online ad. They wouldn't remove the bogus fee so I walked out. This place is as shady as they come. Save your time and stay away from this dealer.

This dealership has unscrupulous sales tactics. During the negotiation of the sale of my car I took a picture of the offer sheet which had the values that myself and the sales person were discussing based on the advertised price of the vehicle. We agreed on that price and I was passed along to the sales manager. During that process I purchased extended warranty and there was some variation with the numbers because my down payment was left out at one point.

Admittedly, I lost track of the numbers and I signed the final sale document with a higher price than I had on my offer sheet. When I noticed the higher price on my bank statement I went to the dealership to question them. I was told to give them a couple of days to look into it and that it would all be fixed up.

When I returned they showed me the rough offer sheet with my signature on it with the numbers CHANGED from when I first negotiated the selling price. I state undeniably that these numbers were changed AFTER I signed the document.

The manager tried to explain the error that the salesperson had transposed the numbers from the stock sheet. I know that I negotiated based on the advertised price and offered to purchase based on that price.

The only reason that I have not taken this matter to court is because my lawyer has indicated that I do not have enough proof to proceed. This does not mean that I was not defrauded of over $1000 from this dealership.

I am happy with my car but I will never set foot in this dealership again, nor will I ever recommend them to anyone else.

Autotown Kia is tarnishing the good brand that is Kia Canada. I strongly recommend that you look elsewhere to purchase your next vehicle as I am quite sure that I am not the first customer to have been tricked by this scheme.

This dealer sells car that have previous damages and passing them off as "accident-free". I bought a Toyota van from this dealer and the damage didn't even show up for some months. When it finally did, I was not even aware it was due to a previous accident that was repaired badly. Went to Toyota who told me about the previous accident, confirmed by Don Vito and Boyd. Coincidentally, the mechanic/body shop worker at Don Vito is the one doing the same work for AutoTown. No wonder he is trying to acquit them. I was so naive when it comes to cars but you cannot say the same about card dealers. I will never believe that they were not aware as well of any damage. Then they try to blame me for the damage. I would gladly report it to MPI because we have no-fault policy here and I have more safety rating that it will not really hurt to have 5 points deducted. These guys are just lying bastards. The car was from Florida. I wasn't even asking them to cover the entire repair, I was only asking them to consider paying half even though I'm sure they have duped me. But that manager who talked to me blame me for the damage, what an evil moron. Will not buy from this dealer again.

By the way, complained to BBB about them, BBB didn't settle the issue. But still reporting it to them will give Autotown a record of their wrongdoing so even if the issue was not resolved at least it has been recorded.

Contacted this dealer via telephone in order to help our daughter purchase a Kia in Winnipeg. Spoke with Nav in sales and requested pricing and model availability. We were told information would be emailed as soon as possible since we were working on a tight timeline. We never did hear back and purchased from another Winnipeg dealer. Placing the call was a total waste of time.

Kia is relatively new product. Since being bought out by Hyundai in2003 they have improved immensley. One of the highest safety standards in the industry.. They do just like any manufacturer have problems, there power trains are practically indestructible . Barely any power train warranty. Problem with Kia is that there warranty times are unrealistic . That's why there is such a hi dealer over .as for the whiners who have no idea what they are talkin about . These people are just a bunch of complainers that are unrealistic . They wouldn't be happy with any product. As far as the techs at Kia between the pair of the ones mentioned they have over 70 years of combined experience in the automotive trade . If you feel they have a bad attitude it may be because of all the cry baby whiners such as yourself that they have to deal wit on a daily basis.for the couple of unhappy dorks there are many many happy Kia customers.

So every time you bought a brand new Kia you got rid of it after about a year? Doesn't sound like you've had to put up with trying to keep up with the repairs on a used Kia.

. YES!! There are many many happy Kia customers! At another Kia dealership!! Clearly not this one? My self as well had an bad experience with autotown Kia. Ended up buying my Kia at another Kia dealership who knows and shows what customer service is all about. But I do agree with Kia tech that Kia is a great product.

this has to be the Worst experience I have ever had buying a vehicle
I cancelled the extended warranty within the 30 day time frame, that was July 2/13 I received the payout Dec 5/13. there was no followu-p made, I did all the calling, no explanation as to WHO dropped the ball or WHY. The financing is disgusting, with all the "processing" fees that only get explained after the fact. A shady bunch of people in my opinion and the owners must not be any better. Shop somewhere else for your vehicle. I won't be taking my vehicle for any servicing to Autotown Kia based on this horrible experience

well I bought a brand new kia sorent ex .. jan 22 2014, after correcting their finacial errors we took possesion and two days later the engine light came on .. we have not seen the vehicle since ... for you that are interested ...that is three months the dealer ship has had our car and are telling us the engine is going to be replaced ... but they don't have an engine. the real beef here is kia does not stand behind their product .. we the consumer are paying monthly for a car we don't have and they think this is ok.. it is not ok .. they state customer complete satisfaction.. all they have to do is give us a brand new car and fight with kia canada to replace the old one .. we thought we were buying a new vehicle now we are getting a reconditioned one ..the best part of this is the general manager will not even take the time to talk with us .. basically confirming that this dealer ship is and will continue to be the worst example of professionalism in canada... run while you still have your money in your pocket. we are out $43,700.00 .. yes who will buy this re-conditioned vehicle YOU.. not likely and nobody else will either.. thanks a lot kia ... you have take everything from me .. shame on you. If you would like the whole story we would be more than happy to share .. but please get this and all other messages about this dealer out there where we can do some good and protect those who would be taken advantage of by these people.

Your are kidding? Two days after you bought it and haven't had it for 3 months? And still making payments? That's just wrong. I wrote the post on the BBB, so I think filing a complaint with them is a waste of time. However, I would suggest that you start doing all communication with Autotown Kia via written letter sent by registered mail.(Then you will have a record that they received it) Tell them what you want, what you expect with a time frame and ask for a written response. I would also, find a lawyer that will file copies of your correspondence, so you can put a cc: ABC Lawyer & Sons. You don't have to hire the lawyer and they will just charge a small fee to keep it on file. Then Autotown will think you have retained a lawyer. Good luck. Go get those Bustards.

Happy customer .. perhaps you didn't get the message >>they have my 43,700.00 ..They have my car.. and i go to sleep at night listening to my wife cry. We don't have the money this was our last purchase before we hang up the keys. We are devastated. The emotional stress this has placed us under is untenable. to do this to even one person while all others are happy is one person too many.
