I agree with the homeowner landlords. You are not entitled to have pets in my property unless I say so.You are not allowed to have extra people living there unless I say so.It's my property and I charge market rent, I don't give a shit what the NDP says. If I want you gone I will renovate and evict you. If you don't like it get a job and buy your own place.

It has become common practice to pocket the deposit. I haven't rented much, usually lived in homes that I own but the last rental I was in the property managers kept the deposit and never even advised me that they were doing so. I had given them a forwarding address! They sent nothing saying " we had to dust the u joint on the pipe under your sink and we did find some splatter between the stove and the wall. Therefore we are unable to return your damage deposit." They just kept it, no thank you for never being late with rent, for not being a tenant that others had to complain about, for being overall clean - nothing. Not even an explanation for why they kept it. This was one of the bigger companies too!

I take pride in providing qaulity, clean housing.Damage deposits dont even begin to cover actual damages or cleaning bills that some tenants leave.Damage deposits are peanuts. I always prefer to give it back, as long as you return my property in the same clean condition in which I rented it to you. Some people just live dirty and have no idea what clean is. They want their deposit back even when they leave a pigsty. They think the rich landlord should clean up their mess.

I do not dispute that some people leave a pigsty behind and it is expensive to clean up after them. What some landlords are doing is using the money from responsible people to make up for shortfalls in the bad people's account. That is wrong.

When you charge rent put aside 10 percent of your overall profits for suite cleaning and repair and keep the bad guys deposits.

Please provide a list of your properties in Winnipeg and I will see to it that only A1 tenants apply.

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Leo

Even though you usually pride yourself on being the strong silent type, love has a way of unlocking your tongue. The words coming out of your mouth may be familiar, but your sense of timing makes all the difference right now. Keep in mind that you never know how a risky gesture will work out, although you can always hope for the best. When in doubt, take the more cautious path.
