THE "SECOND CUP" ON THE CORNER OF RIVER AND OSBORNE SCHOCKED ME YESTERDAY WHEN THE WOMAN WHO THE WOMAN WHO RAN THE SECOND CUP IN THE EARLY EVENING ON MONDAY TOLD ME THAT IF I DIDN'T ORDER SOMETHING THAT I COULDN'T READ A FREE COPY OF THE WINNIPEG SUN IF I DID'T BUY SOMETHING. I WAS WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO MEET ME THERE BUT WAS SO INSULTED THAT I PHONED MY PARTY OF PEOPLE WHO WERE MEETING ME AND TOLD THEM TO MEET ME AT STARBUCKS. NO WONDER SECOND CUP IN OSBORNE VILLAGE IS GOING OUT OF BUISNESS.IN STARBUCKS YOU CAN SIT THERE AND NEVER ORDER ANYTHING.THE SECOND CUP IN OSBORNE VILLAGE IS ON MY LIST AS ONE OF THE RUDEST RESTAURANTS IN WINNIPEG.GO TO STARBUCKS INSTEAD IF YOU ARE IN OSBORNE AREA.

That is so funny because today(monday)the winnipeg sun was complimentary in the Second Cup.
Why the heck would they care> But the woman in question is rude to everyone who comes in there. What a crazy policy. That kind of thing ruins it for us other shops in the village.I myself like Tim Hortons...we need one in Osborne Village. When Second Cup is gone I hope that Tim's moves in!!!!!

Second cup has been the best place in the village for the longest time. I guess some people stay there to long with out buying anything so thats why the owners or the servers are rude back at people......

Don't bring Tims in is the cheapest coffe in the world and it is disgusting. I guess for Peggrs anything cheep is good...

Others are mirrors to our attitude so if you are rude people are rude back....

Nick, you have your own tastes and your own opinion but you are one rude SOB. I enjoy a cup of Tim but the best are the ones from my Dentist Office that are for free. Each cup is made from a satchel of fresh coffee grinds. Its good to the last drop. I could understand now why most retailers behave in an overly protective manner is because of rude people like our EVIL NICK BASHA. I will not go to the dark side.

You get what you pay for at tim hortons, shitty coffee for a low price. At least at second cup I can get a medium coffee (the size of tim hortons extra large I believe) for about 2 bucks, have a choice between 6 different kinds - which ALL taste better than tim hortons low-grade crap, and add all my condiments myself the way I like it.
You cheap 'peggers can go to tim hortons, in fact stay the hell out of second cup - there's nothing more annoying for me (and i'm sure for the people working there) when someone in line in front of me makes a huge fuss about how they just want a PLAIN coffee with NO FANCY STUFF (like the employee is gonna add syrups and milk-foam while your not looking or something) and how they want 2 CREAMS and ONE SUGAR. Meanwhile, pots of plain coffee are in clear view, and the table with all the milk and sugar that you ADD YOURSELF is too.
Me? I just say "medium coffee please" and pay.
You don't want to pay more than 2 bucks? then don't order the fancy stuff.

I can't understand why there are no Tim Hortons in the Osborne or Corydon villages. I wish they would build one right at confusion corner, although it would be so popular that it would likely cause more traffic congestion...

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Aquarius

Keep calm and all will be well. You're feeling slightly fraught because there are so many demands on your time, and it won't help if you're trying to juggle some last-minute chores with some fun-filled social events. Get others to lend you a hand, or tell yourself that perfection is not an option right now and that you'll have to scale down your preparations accordingly.
