Do Not Work for Landmark Solutions as an Outside Sale Rep

I had the misfortune of working for Landmark Solutions as an outside Sales Representative. When hired I was promised (as did all the other Sales Reps.) a weekly wage and commission structure. In the 2 and 1/2 months I stayed with this company, our weekly pay was less than promised and commissions changed weekly. We fought weekly to actually get paid, even though if we did not summit our invoices by Weds, 12pm we would be fined $10.
When Hired you're promised that your territory would be local to were you lived. However,after working for a week or two, the sales Rep felt that a 2 hour drive to see a home owner was not considered local.
We were promised 3 to 4 appointments a day, and this could be from 10am to 8pm... More times than I care to remember appointments would be 2 hour drive for 10 am than nothing till 6pm in the same area and another at 8pm, than after the presentation, you would drive 2 hours home. As a sales rep you are to go to ever appointment, never to call the client, and if both husband and wife were not there, you could not present the product, as it was a high pressure, extremely over priced, sale on the spot.
All Reps are to work 10 am to 8pm Monday through Friday AND Sat 10 am to 4pm. Never to have a few hours to attend an evening family event, as you will not get any appointments that day nor any pay for the day, even if you gave weeks notice of the few hours you needed off.
To top it all off, the organization of this company was worse than any company I have ever seen or worked for. Not one manager would take responsibility for their own department. After selling the product, I would get a call from the installer Manager if the customer was not home, or if there was a problem... As a sales rep, my job is done... I would hope that once they receive the order, that department would call the client and set up a time for installation.
I was to call my manager after, or during every presentation (long distance). he could give me a lower price offer to the client, however, my manager would not answer or would call me back 24 hours later.
To add insult to injury, the manager told all the sales rep that the (already over priced product) was going up again and there would no longer be a base pay for us... but we could make so much more!!!
Not if you have out priced yourself!!!!!!!
BEWARE, if you are considering to work for Landmark Solutions in St Catharines, run, it will cost you gas mileage, time and great frustration, and very little money for your efforts.
