The word "promise" makes this long term care homes act unreliable. It was promised way back in 2010 and it's already 2013 now. What

happened? If the people behind this long-term care act are serious in giving quality care to residents of communities, they should

have done this already. It looks like they don't care about the situatio of seniors once they are inside long term care facilities.

Well, they should be because abuse in seniors is a serious matter and it's really happening now. In some facilities, elder care abuse happens wherein a patient is tortured emotionally and physically. According to http://ltcoptions.com/ , there are different types of abuse and some of them are sexual abuse, neglect and abandonment and financial abuse. Since they are weak, they cannot defend themselves and most often than not they fail to report this. They should implement this now to make sure that these facilities together with the skilled caregivers provide quality care.
