Everyone should pre investigate potential employers before applying or accepting jobs from them. They will dig into your internet online social media to get dirt on you. You need to be smart and dig into their business practices by checking websites like ratemyemployer.ca, Better Business Bureaus, socia media, and other rating sites.

Working for anyone or organization is still a form of slave labour. This is true because unless you own the company and control your own destiny in your own hands, you are still just their dog no matter your low, middle, or high rank. Even if you are CEO making millions of dollars a year in wages, you can be fired at any time, unless you are the biggest owner of the organization. If you are low ranking, then your future and destiny in the organization is even more unstable.

Always check into potential employers to make sure you are not signing on with crooks. You don't want to just believe the propaganda without research or you will be surprised if they turn out to be cheap, abusive, and under handed. Check web sites like www.ratemyemployer.ca , www.topix.com , www.yelp.com for their business reputation. Some of the Victoria region employers now contract out their HR hiring to 3rd party HR companies and hide their company name on internet and newspaper job ads. They don't want job applicants looking up their dirt. Do you want to work for them? Without these social web sites, many more workers would get conned.
