this must be a joke! I have never been anywhere where people drive so slow until I moved here to victoria 5 years ago. what I have noticed is that slow drivers cause more harm on the road than speeders. of course i am not encouraging unsafe speeding but slow driver have a tendency to piss other ppl off especially the poor daily commuters who are going to work or drop their kids in school...reducing the speed limit is just gonna make things worst..

Yes, Greater Victoria has a tendency to do everything slowly and that includes driving. Procrastination is in its genetic makeup. Efficiency does not matter when you look closely at the performance results. Everywhere in Victoria there is a sense of "why now when we can drag things out unnecessarily". There is too much time and space to take forever to do anything or mostly not.

Read the article. The proposal is for residential streets only. Major routes would not be affected.

Give a few examples of this procrastination you are talking about.

Yeah, the Victoria version of slack and lazy takes inefficiency to a whole new level. In that aspect, it has out performed all the other cities, metros.

One of the most overlooked things on the island is that they should of had dividers in the middle of the road the whole malahat and highway 100 years ago.I understand finally they have a lot of it divided now but not the whole thing.Head on collisions are not pretty.

Victorians need driving lessons, in some sort of professional race car driving school in order to function in their every day commute. They could also play more action video games to improve their reaction and reflexes. They have the alertness of bricks or concrete.
