My fellow Canadian,

Today I’m heading out across Canada to listen to your ideas. To share with you the vision I will put forward in the next election.

And to talk to you about how we will get Ottawa onto the right track.

We have a Prime Minister who points to rising bank profits and says that this recession is over. Even though countless middle-class families are still worried about their jobs, or about how to pay their heating bills.

He just doesn’t get it. Stephen Harper is not listening to you.

Well, New Democrats are listening. And so I want to hear about your priorities. About the issues that matter to your family.

Check in here for specific tour dates.

First stop is Northern Ontario. Then onto Atlantic Canada, the Prairies, British Columbia, and Quebec. I’ll be at town halls and rallies and even joining entire communities using state-of-the-art telephone town hall technology.

I hope to see you there. Together we can start building a Canada where middle-class families come first.

Jack Layton
Leader, Canada’s NDP
