i lived here for a year and ppl allways tell you its fine! well in reality its not! living here its a nightmare ! the fact that elevators are allways on service or broken made it impossible for me to get to my apartment ! you can even be in the lobby waiting for the elevator for a good 3o min! neighbors are really rude! specially if you have dogs ! or any kind of animals they wont even allow you in the elevator once its finally arrived! in the mornings you better know to leave your house a good 30 min earlier because thats how long you will be waiting for the elevator! now theres a good reason why the superintendent doesnt show u the pool or laundry area ! and ill tell you why! because its grosss!!!! u do not wanna move here! the area! well! it its most know for flemo park! yeah flimington! dont you even go around the library once its getting dark! it is really dangerous! despite the fast that there was a shootout in the park not to long a ago! and algo the 18yrold kid that was killed not too long ago! aparently from what i heard there is a gang of guys who were arrested from this area and are finally comming back this winter! if you ask me! i wouldnt wanna move there! so yeah truth is ! YOU GET FOR WHAT YOU PAY FOR! good luck finding an apartment!

ive lived here for almost a year. Where as it is a old building they are upgrading lots of things anyone here long enough can see they are putting effort into cleaning things up. the sprinkler system was just redid in the garage the carpets were redone in the halls due to the amount of traffic the area is hard to keep clean i'm sure. the laundry rooms were just painted and the hours have been extended. the windows in the pool area have been replaced. As for dangerous its not the WORSE area in Toronto I have lived in farrrrrr worse. but its not the beaches either. It really is depending on what you can afford but I things happen everywhere. elevators do get fixed sometimes but i've never had a issue with them being down all at once AND I LIVE on the TOP FLOOR. MY apartment is a one bedroom and its HUGE for the cost. utilities are included and I pay $50 for parking

i have lived here for 10 years, if this was a few years ago i wouldn't suggest it because of the bad landlord. but the new landlord works hard and keeps the building in order. as far as danger i have never had any problems or felt in danger, even coming home late. i have many children and i prefer living here compared to other buildings and areas i nthe neighbor hood

I'm around here when all the renovations are being done. It's a nightmare. It doesn't also help that the landlord is the most uncivilized person I have had the misfortune to meet. This building is really old. They are trying to do a lot of renovations, but trust me, this is going to take a lot of time to fix. And covering up the building with new designs is not going to fix the problem to the core. Plumbing is terrible. Elevator service awful. Blackouts, shut down of heat, water is so frequent right now. It doesn't also help that the landlord is the most uncooperative person ever. In the name of renovations, they are making this place hell and I'm moving out of there. Don't come here, unless the landlord changes. As for danger, I have heard about a few stuffs, nothing that directly affected me. Police patrol is very frequent in this area since stuffs happen.

I am with you on that one Naad. I am moving out because of the landlord. He is uncivilized. I am making a formal complaint to the board against them to the tenant board. I could use your support or any support I can get. A letter stating all the trouble you had with them. You can contact me at [email protected] I am going to file a complaint in a few days

you can complete the T 2 form from this link
http://www.ltb.gov.on.ca/en/STEL02_111281.htm...

If your moving out because of them and if you are paying higher rent
you can ask the board to have them compensate you and also pay a fine to the board for their actions.

It's too late that I saw your pst today, I just came back from the board. I had filed an official complaint on the superintendent back in March, it was exactly as you mentioned he is most uncivilized person I have ever met... i filed for intimidation, threatening and harassment, not to mention. I moved out in March, but the court was just today. Unfortunately, I had no any evidence against him, and when they brought in their lawyer, and the whole gang showed up, it would have been my word against 4 lying adults. Plus, my free attorney advisor was not very helpful, instead he was discouraging me because of the lack of evidence. How can you have an evidence when the landlord unexpectedly shows up at 9 am banging at your door, or starts threatening you in the hall? In any case, if you filed and made it, I could give you more details on my case... So, I just got the lease terminated, and let them keep my security deposit. Is it possible to do a group complaint against those bastards.

Besides the abusive and rude landlord, you get nothing cleaned or fixed when you move in, the walls are made out of paper, so it felt as my neighbors were taking shower in my bedroom every night, the elevator wait is outrageous, bugs in the building. The customer service is absent in this building.

I filled out an application, and with that they required a security deposit of $935 in order to even process my application.
The next day my security deposit was cashed, without me being informed that I was accepted. As it turned out, I had fallen into monetary issues at the exact same time, and wished to withdraw my application and get my deposit back.

This was over two weeks ago, and I have been ignored by the landlord all together. I have spoken with the female superintendent almost every day, asking when I would get my money back. All she keeps saying is I'll get it back when the apartment is rented.

These people are scam artists. The delay in receiving my money back when i didnt sign a contract or anything other than my application; its ridiculous.

I wish i had read people's comments before even applying to this place.

Do not move into the roach infested building. There are so many things wrong with this building. For one thing as previously mentioned the building is infested with roaches, as well as spiders and rats have even been seen. The building is very dirty with foul smells on each floor. We once even experimented with a fellow tenant to see how often they clean the building by leaving a candy rapper on ground in the lobby and for 3 whole days it did not budge and so we threw it out ourselves. The walls continuously crack filling the ground with debris. The appliances are old, some not even working. Don't even get me started on the elevators, they are always in service and even in the quietest hours of the day when not in use, it takes hours for them to reach your floor. I can't even tell you how many times the elevator doors wouldn't close or even made weird sounds when closing; are they trying to kill us in there or what?
Now let's get to the main point, the main reason this building is a disastrous mess: The Lazy, Rude, non-educated and illiterate superintendents who abuse their authority in order to demean the vulnerable tenants they plan to walk on. The indian superintendents (wife and husband) honestly have no idea how to run a building. I have made numerous complaints about appliances not functioning well, a random large bubble appearing in the wall which created a foul smell in which the idiot claimed was due to uncleanliness (like really?) and of course the extreme coldness during the winter time. Not once have they solved any problems and I am not the only one to complain.
If you're smart you will not even think of moving in to this building. You would be throwing your life away. Unless you enjoy daily stress, rental fees changing every month without notice, unsolved malfunctions in your apartment, sleeping with roaches and spiders and even rats AND BEING JUDGED BY ILLITERATE AIRHEADS WHO BARELY SPEAK ENGLISH please be my guest. But if you value the quality of you're life, do yourself a favour and look somewhere else.
Sincerely,
Soon to be moving out but currently miserable tenant.

The superintendents do not do anything for you in this smelly building! They are rude, insincere, incomprehensible and simply too retarded to function. Please don't move into here you will hate yourself everyday for doing so.

i moved to 45 grenoble dr couple of months ago. after a month i moved in, found out there are bed bugs in the unit. i have never had bed bug in my home before, but the superintendents blames me for the bed bug before they sprayed my apartment. workers here are very rude, and so does the manager. as soon as my lease ends, i will move out of this building and hope will never see them again.

I know the owner. I can definitely arrange free rent for a year.. let me know. He's aware of the bugs but prefers to offer free rent for now
