Nickleback lead singer Chad Kroeger convicted of drunk driving in B.C.

- Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger has been convicted of drunk driving in a B.C. court. Kroeger, whose real name is Chad Turton, had almost twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system when he was stopped for speeding in Surrey, B.C., in June of 2006. He was driving a $175,000 Lamborghini. His lawyer tied to have the charges dropped by arguing the Mountie who stopped Kroeger conducted an unlawful search by having the singer blow in his face after detecting the smell of alcohol. It must be a real slow news day when stuff like this makes the papers.I think people should mind their own business and let people make mistakes in private, just because he is famous why should his DUI be any concern of ours. If you like the music he sings and the lyrics mean something to you surely that is all that matters !!!! Rock on!!!

Good grief the court system sure is slow there. He could've paid his fine or done his time by now. I agree why put up a big fuss when a famous person does it, open your local paper and see how many times the same local person does it and gets off. Leave Chad alone.

all i know is i would be much happier if he went to his sentencing on may 1st. he seems to be a procrastinator lol. i still luv him though. he made a mistake and he'll learn from them (well hopefully) like all us human beings. we all make mistakes at one point and learn from it. he's just human like you and me. even if he does make mistakes im not gonna stop loving him 4 that.

Leave Mr Kroeger alone! If that is what makes FRONT PAGE NEWS, what a sad world we live in! We all make mistakes and yes, while he should not be driving, I bet most people have a had bit too much to drink and got behind the wheel. You do not have to drink a lot for it to affect your driving and that has been proven, but yet Chad gets slated for it!
