St. Louis Priest Accused of Soliciting Sex From A Teenager Suspended From Duties

A St. Louis priest is charged with soliciting sex from a minor and his parish is now without a pastor.

I am just relieved he went for a girl. The penchant for buggery by the priesthood really had us down.

If the Catholic church would ditch the whole idea of celibacy - the preists and let them marry 'women' we would not see as much of this. Then again it'd make some of the nuns not so, well, on edge. It's also cut down on the shortage of the clerical 'type' people in that sect.

The other two men were married at one time or the other and it did not stop them. I do not think celibacy is the reason. These guys are just liers who do not care about others.

I think it's high time to make a statement to the Archdiocese and let them know that we Catholics do not make weekly contributions for the purposes of taking care of pedofile priests and paying the millions owed to the many victims of their crimes.
I propose that the parishioners of the Archdiocese of St. Louis have a "Fr. Grady bail-out" weekend and all parishioners in the diocese "bail out" of their weekly donation this Sunday.
Let's send the message loud and clear that we don't approve of the misuse of our weekly gifts given for the GOOD of the Church!

First, I'm relieved to hear it was a 16 yr old girl and not a 9 yr old boy.

Second, I don't care about him wanting to have sex with 16 yr girls. 17 is the age of consent in Missouri but 16 yr is the age of consent in most of the US, states like Vermont, Washington, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Nevada, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Michigan, Connecticut, and many others (google it).

When I heard 16 yr old girl I shrugged and said "So?". 16 yr girl having sex is no big deal. Should have told him the girl was 12 or 13 to see what he'd say.
