ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - As Newfoundland and Labrador celebrates its gay pride week, pressure is growing on the province to improve human rights protections for the transgender community, one of society's most marginalized and vulnerable groups.

That's who they are,*people* with *human rights*.

LGBT people want and deserve equal rights and equal treatment under the law. Those who are against that aren't trying to stop gay marriage, they're trying to legalize violence and discrimination.
