In 1967 we had a choice of a no fare system. A negative spin was placed on the idea, we have had un wanted fares ever since. A few years later a two week ferry blockade got residents half fare. 43 years to get another kick at the can lets not make the same mistake.

I for one don't want the fares removed. All that will happen would either a reduction in service or taxes increasing to pay for the service. At least with it the way it is tourism helps fun the service.
How many people who were upset about the tools outside of Moncton actually use the road on a daily basis. Now the taxpayers of NB pay to keep the highway up instead of all who travel on it. Tolls are paid everywhere else it is a fact of life. Whats next remove the fares on busses in the larger cities. How about free airlines. Why not let our tax money go to places of better use...Healthcare, Education to name 2.
