Third million-dollar-plus windfall claimed in Alberta in two weeks

- It wasn't the lottery ticket he intended to buy, but in the end a retailer's mixup has made an Alberta man a millionaire twice over.
Nick McKay of Sherwood Park recently stopped at a convenience store in Edmonton to buy a number of tickets. One of the ones the clerk gave him was different than what he wanted, so she offered to cancel it, but he said he'd take it anyway.
It was that scratch-and-win Super Set for Life ticket that won the 29-year-old truck driver $2,000 a week for 25 years, or a lump sum of $2 million. Read more
