This announcement has absolutely broken my heart! Over the past six years, we have come to love this show and it's mixed bag of goofball characters. There hasn't been one episode where someone in my family couldn't relate to something happening on the screen, or that we haven't been howling in laughter at it. This is a knife to the heart, it is! One can only hope that some way, somehow, master creator Brent Butt will decide to throw his loyal fans a bone, and not stop it after season six. SAVE CORNER GAS!

100% in agreement, Patricia. According to the news, the majority of Corner Gas fans are ex-pat Saskatchewanites. A quick poll in my area indicated they could be right. Maybe only those who left Saskatchewan and returned or are still elsehwere truly appreciated the local humor?
Everyone in our household was a faithful follower. If we couldn't identify with the characters in the show, we knew someone who could. Corner Gas will be sadly missed.

As unfortunate as this is, I can understand the reasoning. Thankfully there will always be six seasons to look back on and view here and there.
The show is incredibly good quality and will bo sorely missed but I guess that's the kind of note you want to end on right? I wonder what else Brent will come up with.
