First Nations need wiser help

This is a free country. People can live in as miserable conditions as they like. But forcing their children to live in such conditions is child abuse. So their children should be saved from repeating the miserable victim cycle.

Now that Russia has banned American adoption, it should be easier to convince all of those infertile American couples to adopt First Nations children. The children would have a future free of the cycle of miserable dependence, and Canada would have a future of less needless strife and misery.

I think about those kids in the photo ops, made to pose in the squalor of the reserves for political opportunists and to indulge the victimhood fantasies of their families....

I think those kids would be much better off adopted in off-reservation households.

If the parents want to continue to wallow in their own squalid self-pity, it is their right -- their 'freedom'... but why should the kids be made to suffer?

I'm sure the RC church would look after the kids just like the good ol' days!
