Well Sir according to this blog you are from Toronto. So why do you care? I care because I have been in business for over 25 years and know what it's like to get rail roaded by frackin idiots like you when the chips are down and when warranted support those that work hard for a living and do not deserve to be pestered by the likes of you. So like it or not take your pathetic opions elsewhere and stop bothering people and go back under the little rock you came from.

You cannot just leave this alone can you? I have wasted enough of my time on this matter. Think what you will and good luck with your cause.
AKA Mr. Enough already, go back and crawl under the rock you came from. You seem to be the biggest bullshitter of all and these comments of mine are directed at you scum bag. Congratulations...and by the way that's Mr. Robin Hood to you you little Todd.

These are very interesting comments many of you have. I was told about this comment forum and thought to check it out myself. My husband and I bought our windows last summer from Nepean Windows and the gentlemen who sold us the windows was extremely proffessional. We got a good price and our windows were installed within the time they told us and came out beautiful. We were referred by other friends that bought windows from them before and said they were happy, so we went with them too. We understood they went through a total loss fire and did not hide anything from what we could find. We would recommend Nepean windows to any one anytime..

Dan, that would be Little John not little Todd.haha. You make my day!
If you wasted so much time, then why are you still here?
Let us put this into perspective. You called the BBB corrupt. People who have/had legitimate grievances should be quiet or give up. However, you have posted 7 replies, more than anyone else on this blog. You have come to the defense of a company that you bought windows from and claim no affiliation. You are from Etobicoke. It makes absolutely no sense. It is time to reveal who you really are.
Dan its time, who are you and who do you work for?

So if your from Toronto, why the heck do you care so much? Why don't you reveal who you are. Seems you cannot read very well, I am from Ottawa and my name is Dan White and I work for myself. Have a nice day...

Like I said, I work for myself. Obviously you cannot read english. So why do you care so much Mr. Enough Already from Toronto who says he lives in Ottawa. I can go on as long as you can. I have had enough already from the primitive slime bucket you are. So keep it up Pal. I love a good jousting match...

Dan who lives in Etobicoke who says they are from Ottawa. Primitive like "little Todd and opions" calling anyone else names is hilarious. You are obviously illiterate with all your spelling mistakes. Nepean and you have so much in common. Meaning your grade school grammar mistakes, even with spell check...hahahaha!

Dan, give it up, admit who you work for? I know who but I want you to admit the truth for the first time. Tell us and stop wasting our time!

Nepean hasn't paid back their former suppliers have they? At least tell us that!!!!

Well Mr. Enough Already, now from Oakville. I don't know if they have paid back their suppliers. Why do you think they owe anyone?
I am no Fraud as you put it. As far as spelling mistakes go, I really don't care if there are any.You seem to have some of your own as well. You cannot spell "OPINION". I work for myself, what do you care? who do you work for? you will not answer that as well.So if your all the way now in Oakville, why is it that you keep on coming back for more insults and ranting. Why don't you just go away and leave this subject alone and move on to pester someone else. Surely you have better things to do...filibustering, my that's a big word for you. You must have went to Harvard.

Cheers

I was shopping for windows and had five quotes done by window dealers in Ottawa. By far Nepean Windows was the most professional of all. The two gentlemen "Kelly & Bob" came to see me initially and then "Kelly" followed up promptly with quotation and detailed information. They openly expalined their total loss fire, the 'BBB' rating and answered all of my questions and any concerns. I was convinced they were professional and on the up and up. My wife and I went ahead with our purchase and we are very satisfied with our new windows and front door. We would highly recommend for them to anyone looking for great windows and service. We can understand anyone going through what Nepean windows has, it shows true Canadian Entrepreneurship not to let the chips get you down when things get rough. I admire folks that have the willingess and guts to get through anything life throws at them. These people seem like good honest local folks just trying to make a living. Keep up the Good work Fellows...Wish you luck..

Well, having gone through most of this thread, my worst fears appear to becoming a reality. The previous owners to my home purhcased five windows from Nepean Windows and Patio Doors in 2004. They were in fact Oran widnows but they are turning out to be very difficult to close with the lever. I have tried calling and e-mauil to no avail. Not sure what my options are as I believe the warranty is still valid.

I would suggest you get in touch with Fendor Glass& Aluminum as they are distributors of Oran Windows in Ottawa. I used to work for Nepean Windows, and I am sad how it all ended mainly due to very poor management. Good luck to you.I am also sorry for the people that said they bought windows from them and were happy.

Thanks for the info. I will do that. We had Fendor change some windows after we moved in and we were happy with them. We liked the Oran widows that were installed by Nepean and wanted to find another installer in Ottawa for Oran windows.

We did sue. He ignored the hearing and the judge found in our favour in his absence and issued an order to pay. We served this order and he ignored it too. This forced us to return to court for an order to pay which we also served on Nepean Windows. Failure to appear on this order would have resulted in a bench warrant, so he appeared.

At this hearing he pleaded poverty, which the judge did not completely buy as the company was still in business at the time, so he was ordered to issue 12 post-dated cheques to cover half the settlement with a second set to be issued the next year. We received these at the last possible moment.

Thanks to this we recovered several thousand dollars before cheques began to be returned by our bank. We investigated to discover that Nepean Windows had ceased operations in Ottawa. Legal advice suggested that having sued both the individual and the company and with the company now out of business I would have to start again with the added complication of proving assets. This was not worth the effort for us.

So the process yielded some cash and satisfaction but we only realized a partial win. Still, we got the situation on record with the courts, and some compensation. Given what I paid in university fees years ago, this was a reasonably cheap education. I've moved on. Please keep us, and those others who had not the time nor the money to pursue informed of your progress.

we were lucky, we went after them just days before the fire since we smelled a rat about that time. The lies started that day, the fire a few days later, then the excuses and I can assure you the whole office staff knew what was going on prior to the fire and they were also expert liars. We fought hard, did get windows, not that good a quality as what we were promised but a step up from what we had. You are so right John, he does deserve jail time. That fire was no accident.
