Parliament stumbling to a close with virtually nothing accomplished

MPs are preparing to head home for the summer, having spent six months locked in furious debate over the vital role Parliament should play in a healthy democracy.

The word "PARLIAMENT": It is defined in the constitution as consisting of 3 parts, the king or queen (as represented by the Governor-General), plus the Senate plus the House of Commons. Far too many think that Parliament means House of Commons. Too bad. it doesn't!\
