The festival's tall ships flotilla will include the Pride of Baltimore II; the Unicorn, which features an all-female crew, of Bridgeport, Conn.; and the St. Lawrence II, whose home port is Kingston, Ontario

The Unicorn with an all female crew, sounds like a dyke ship. Bet they are all rather butch.

can't say I would go back this time. wait in line a couple hours to walk around on deck of a few ships. then what? i heard the state wants to close the museum anyway. can't keep postponing the inevitable. Niagara's going to back on the blocks.

Gee, does that mean Erie residents will actually get to see the Niagara without paying admission?

You have to be a real dork to give shi* about a REPLICA ship. Typical Erie and its fake pride in reinvented crap.

The Unicorn's brass monkey apparently has no balls.

The Coast Guard could use them for target practice.

Can't believe some of you and even some of you from Erie have such a negative view of Tall Ships and events.
I was there in 2010 (and visit Erie frequently since a relative lives there) and loved the event and love Erie (except when the snow is blowing and streets are icy).
Tall ships are wonderful to see docked in the bay and as they sail.
Hope folks reading this will come find out for yourselves (and behave nicely to the locals) so we all have a great time. I plan to.

I don't remember paying any additional for parking when I came in 2010. A check of various websites don't mention additional parking, but talk about free shuttle service.

You may be able to call or email the Erie Maritime Museum and ask. They have been very helpful with any questions I had.

Have a great visit and BTW if dad gets tired the library offers a great reading area with a view of the bay by the window. A restroom is nearby. I took mom there to rest.

It is the "Niagara"....Besides many people are convinced it is really the "Lawrence" the sister ship of "Niagara" which was salvaged back in 1913 instead of the Niagara.Anyway after several restorations ....it is more likely a replica rather then a restored ship.

IT MAY BE THE LAWRENCE & A REPLICA BUT WHAT THE HELL, DON`T GIVE UP THE SHIP!

Oh Boy!...Another useless festival, how many hundred thousand tourists is this going to bring to Erie to spend billions? When are the people of Erie going to quit eating the horse crap being fed to them by the Democratic Jackasses running this town into the ground?
I always said sooner or later people would wise up but it sure looks like I was wrong ...It appears to be never.
When we have a "CELEBRATION FOR TURNING OUT THE LAST LIGHT IN ERIE" will the democratic low information voters finally wake up?
It is all smoke & mirrors to cover up their record of continued failure to do anything to grow Erie, create any jobs, opportunity or make Erie a place industry would be interested in.
