Convenience store chain joins Hershey boycott

It appears that even their contests are only for commercial gain. No United States winner was ever announced at the end of their contest on Dec. 17, 2007. There were 60 individual runners-up competing for the grand prize.....which was never won....by anyone! I wanted my little Jackie's story to win... so it would appear on the back of the hershey kisses package. But it looks like nobody had that honor! Pooh on those sweet treats. The contest was just for publicity.

They aren't "expanding", they are taking jobs from the US and moving them to Mexico. Even Hersheypark isn't what it once was - its obvious the company went from being about families and candy to making as much money as possible. Milton Hershey would be extremely disappointed.

It's not the fact that their product will be made in Mexico, it's because corporate fat cats coldly sweep hundreds of jobs from communities across this country, and then proudly proclaim to their fat cat investors how much money they have made for them. If they open new factories to expand their global reach, great. But to abandon the people who made them great is reprehensible. Boycott Hershey's Mexican Chocolate. They can go explore their global strategy.
