They are 100% legal to possess seeing as they aren't weapons anymore and in fact you can find them in just about every army surplus store in the country for $30-$40 bucks.

They are about as dangerous as a spent bullet casing. But hey the words 'rocket launcher found' sure do attract readers dont they?
