Most kids have only another 3 weeks until Thanksgiving and then another 3 until Christmas/New Year Holidays. Most folks also have access to internet and for those that don't, it would be simple to make a "study at home" packet. My suggestions is to simply cancel classes in all primary, secondary and college classes immediately. Grant emergency sick leave to one parent/grandparent/caregiver per family to care for children under 18 at home and supervise lesson plans. Have government reimburse caregiver directly. People can easily order frozen foods delivered to their homes and medicines. Only emergency personnel (hospitals, police, transportation, fire, communication employees, infrastructure, etc) report to work. We stay home until after New Years. This will give us 8 weeks of quarantine. Anyone who is sick currently will have recovered or died by then. anyone who is infected will have either not become sick or become sick, recovered or died by then. The only downside will be economic. Burt since our government can "afford" to give away billions to rich greedy irresponsible corporations who squander our tax money - it can easily "afford" to pay us to stay home and save our lives and that of our children. By the way, the "bailouts" were only accounting credits. The U.S. government never handed gold or silver or even paper money to the banks or corporations to bail them out. It was only an accounting entry which is just as easily reversed - as in - they were "credited" with billions in 2008 and it can just as easily be "debited" off their books and into the pockets of taxpayers and small businesses tomorrow. Stay home folks! Stay home until the flu is gone and we get our "bailout money" back. If our country is too poor to provide basic health to its citizens - if we are too poor to stay home when we are sick - if we are to poor to stay home and keep our children from DYING - then we are too poor to give away billions to the filthy rich. Remember - they can tax you on what you earn but they can't make you work. Let's sit them out. You'll be amazed how fast corporate America "finds" sufficient vaccines for all of us. You'll be amazed at our own power. It's the "Blue Flu" a sick out. The police used to go on these kinds of strikes and they would always get their pay raises. Stay home sick until the pandemic is gone and we will get our bail out money back and before we go back to work, we'll get those billions back in the form of a REAL stimulus package - If all the bailout money were evenly distributed amound all the taxpaying citizens and small businesses, we would each get hundreds of thousands - a piece. Think about it. the only power our politicians have is the power we give them. Let's take it back for ourselves.
