Strange the cemetery fund was mentioned. Dolan moved much to the cemetery fund before he bankrupted the Diocese of Minnesota and while abuse victims were coming forward. Today's News reports 20 clergy in ministry who were found guilty of sex misconduct with adults and children that was discovered in 2008. Priests hadn't had background checks since the early 1990's. Church monitors mostly relied on self-reporting. OH COME On..a pervert reporting himself!!!
If I am not mistaken, no civil or church tribunal found those 20 priests guilty. Instead of resigning and making a 107-page deposition now, former chancellor Jennifer Haselberger of the Twin Cities should have reported criminal activities to the police herself and eventually sue the diocese for unlawful termination of employment. I suspect she has an ax to grind against her former employer.

POPE BENEDICT an POPE FRANCIS:: There is no point in handing this dilemma over to the Cardinal since he is one of the criminals in this scenario. I don't suppose he told you either.

Papa Francesco has announced that on July 27 he will pay a visit to an Italian Protestant minister in Caserta, near Naples. Not a word to the local Curia or Bishop or the Archbishop/Cardinal of Naples. His style is bound to ruffle some feathers.
OOPS! Game change. Papa Francesco is not going to Caserta on July 27. He will go there TWICE! On July 26 for an OFFICIAL visit to the Diocese with the Bishop, the Cardinal of Naples, the civil authorities and all the public. He will then return on July 28 for a PRIVATE visit to his friend, an Italian Protestant minister. Protocol counts, after all.

BTW all of these "funny", "nuts" and otherwise negative judgements come from the other credibly accused, etc.

The problem is much more than abuse. It is the brainwashing and fear of telling anyone that changes the victim. This is why it is so important to get these matter out in the open.
The Church has been blamed for using the secular arm during the Middle Ages. Now lawyers are using the arm of the Church to extract information on suspected sexual abuse by the clergy. One difference: the Inquisition had trials while most of today’s clerical abuse cases are settled out of court based on hazy and unverified credibility of anonymous plaintiffs.

While we are on the subject of inappropriate behavior of clergy let us discuss abuse or rape of women. There was a time when women and children were sent to a priest for counseling. Psychotherapists and CSW counselors were not available. These were vulnerable people. How often were these people violated? Are there records of complaints of rape by priests? How much has the DOB paid out to these victims.

Where are Catholic Charities Dollars Going ? Perhaps to Fund Private Homes/Sex Palaces for Father Dave Glassmire (who lives in Amherst, NY and is Pastor of Ascension Parish 50 miles away in Batavia!) and SEXcapades for Father Dave Glassmire and his well established boyfriend the "Burgermeister"! Wake Up People and stop giving until we see accountability from ALL PRIESTS, especially Father Dave Glassmire!
Read last Sunday's Bulletin from Ascension Parish. Father Dave Glassmire reprimands parishioners for questioning why he is never in Batavia, blaming the military. He is never in Batavia because he lives in Amherst, and has a steady boyfriend. He tells parishioners to "Call him with concerns about his behavior". Will he be in Amherst, will his Boyfriend screen the call?

The inquisiition would be considered more fair than anything that is going on today. At least tthere was a trial when other authorities had no trials at all.
also you had to stand on grounded evidence and if you won or lost nobody was going to give you thousands of dollars . The reson is that justice will make you feel whole not money.

What will make you feel whole is having your life to live without having your rights stolen for years and years, under the guise of righteousness and making (forcing?) you to say and do things to have that life returned but NEVER actually experiencing that.
It's over! Get on with it..

There is justice and then there is this. You don't know when enough is enough. THIS is enough. I have to tell you because you don't seem to know it yourself. THIS is MORE than enough. I've given all I have to give. I won't give any more.

One reason why the DOB has more seminarians than Syracuse. the DOB recruits foreign seminarians. Not always the best source. In some cases, they have caused ral problems.

Because you think he is guilty of the things he has been accused of on this blog.
He posted a composition in his bulletin because he too, thought that the things written about him on this blog were said by a parishioner when in fact they were inspired by a fellow disgruntled priest who was angry with Glassmire because Glassmire saved himself.
You are suspicious of him because he defended himself in his bulletin. He only did that because he didn't know that the real author of the defamation of character against him was another priest.
