St. Stan's is in a slum area of the Falls where Mazur officiates at 7 masses per weekend together with the 'tourist church'.

Now the "Boy Toy" is bragging in the "Community" about their next planned out of town sexcapades at Fr. Daves Florida "Hut"...How long is this going to be allowed to continue. Sad for the parishioners of Ascension Parish in Batavia!!! Has the "Batavian" reported on this yet?

The Vatican has ruled on the school closings appeal. Sorry folks! Is anyone surprised?
A good reminder to unenlightened Catholics that while they may pay and financially support everything, they ultimately have nothing to say about their buildings or institutions. In the case of the ten schools closed by Malone, even the pastors had nothing to say. The sad part is that in spite of this - out of touch episcopal form of governing by autocratic and high-handed rule without any kind of participation from the people who are affected by their decisions and who have been financially supporting the service - Catholics will continue to give their money to an institution that will go on making decisions for them with bishops who style leadership is medieval and could care less about what anyone else thinks because these bishops are so out of touch with the people they were ordained to serve.

How many trustees, committee/parish council members stand up when they disagree, ask to go on record for their ideas/proposals/objections, send registered letters to the bishop, ask for a group hearing, appeal to the Apostolic Nuncio, or go public in some other ways? If bishops like so much their pictures in the paper or on television, they must also take notice of what is being said about their administration. Francesco is listening.

Is there any public record of how many parents voted to close which school? If the reasons to close these schools were obvious to the diocese, why weren’t obvious to the parents? Lack of communication or lack of evidence?

You guys make me laugh You all know the rules. You all know how it works and yet you stay and complain. The people have never had any rights. Are you not the same people who think Mother Angelica is wonderful? The Church decides, you follow. I am mildly amused that the affluent parents thought they were in charge. They are not and never were. Sorry!

What massive destruction. Beautiful churches will be lost to future generations! The patrimony of the diocese is being dismantled and sold off. Flourishing churches that have spent hundreds of thousands of dolalrs in the last few years are being closed! St. Mary's and Trinity in the Falls have been allowed to spend hundreds of thousands at each parish on renovation! The diocese allowed and approved these major expenditures and now they close these parishes? Something is terribly wrong in the Chancery! "Why sit we here idle?"
remember this?

The only people that are not complaining are

My only hope is that those that can start the
appeal process....it is your right under
canon law....and canon law is the law that
the church set up...you are only using the law
that is in place...make the church hierarchy
have to account for the decisions that they
are making....don't go away quietly unless
you really believe that your church building
should close...if not, make the bishop have
to explain to someone why he made the choice
he did...closing churches with 1000 people as
John said, certainly doesnt make sense...
and closing the church that bishop grosz
spent tons of money on (that is right before
he spent millions on the city's st stans)
doesnt make much sense either....if any
of the diocese staff was graded on their
business sense...guess what...it would be
zero!!!!
I think that the diocese should start closing
these huge rectories for one man!!!! who ever
heard of that in a business sense....saint john gualbert or better yet, st stans have huge rectory buildings....let 3 or 4 priests in
nearby churches start living there and use their
rectories just for business...close up at
the end of the day and ride home...like most
of us in the working world have to do....eat
together...watch cable together...and maybe even car pool...how about that...living like the
real working man and saving each parish tons
of money...cut back on the food allowance, the utility bills...and be able to help each other out if the church got busy.....
now that might be a good way to save...let's do a survey and see how many priests might
agree with my plan.....
or this?

More than food pantries, the Church needs to offer the poor a good education. Many religious orders were founded for this.
Somehow, down the line, the Church has lost this priority fostering a society of haves and have nots. Francesco is now shaking up the Church’s priorities.

Aren't you the one who said that it was the parishioner's fault everything that has and is happening? I am amused by the clergy that is too afraid to stand up for the rights of their flock and are always making side deals on what suits them best. People should make more noise and never go down quietly. Eventually someone will die and be replaced by a Father Baker. Has the best / worst Bishop of Buffalo award been given yet? There are always so many here since once they come they never leave can't they put their heads together
and come up with something new instead of the same tired , mean ,destructive plans?
