Fr. Ted Jost is a 'real Cinderella.'

I hear the "divine one" is taking the faithful on a pilgrimage to Italy at the end of February.$3,000.00 per person for a "divine" trip to Italy with the "divine one". Wow! What a deal!

DON’T TELL ANYBODY -According to TheMediaReport, the three companies that insure the majority of Protestant churches in America say they typically receive upward of 260 reports each year of young people under 18 being sexually abused by clergy, church staff, volunteers. Catholic churches? About SIX.

Dear Msgr. Your logic escapes me. Are you really a Bishop? Why has St. Luke rebuilt ITS out of date structure? And why does it want all the rights and services of a parish without being one? So they can do whatever they wish without answering to anybody right? Isn't Catholic Charities capable of providing the needed services ? If not why not? I for one resent them calling themselves missionnariess when they are free lance. Why have people been thrown out of their churches but this place has the constant services of priests who are free lance too. Since you are a Msgr. or Bishop perhaps you can answer these points so dummies like me can understand .
You raise some valid points that should be addressed. Obviously
they are too valid so better to avoid or ignore them. Typical.
Better to talk about the very grave problems of homosexuality and women who want to be priests but are not sure they want to be women.

What massive destruction. Beautiful churches will be lost to future generations! The patrimony of the diocese is being dismantled and sold off. Flourishing churches that have spent hundreds of thousands of dolalrs in the last few years are being closed! St. Mary's and Trinity in the Falls have been allowed to spend hundreds of thousands at each parish on renovation! The diocese allowed and approved these major expenditures and now they close these parishes? Something is terribly wrong in the Chancery! "Why sit we here idle?"

Our diocese is like the leaning tower of Pisa: it can not right itself up!
In fact, our leaders think it is beautiful then way it is!

The Torre di Pisa -- or the Leaning Tower of Pisa, as most English-speakers know it -- is continuing its slow but steady return to “straightness,” was a recent report in the press.
According to an annual report released by the official surveillance group in charge of monitoring the famously tilting structure, the tower has recovered roughly 2.5 centimeters (almost one inch) of its vertical incline between 2001 and 2013.

Are there any more people who care today? Only the people at St. Ann's? Anybody want to help them? They aren't even being allowed to help themselves. Go to the St. Ann website and look at what they want to destroy. The great leaders are patting themselves on the back for past destruction and looking forward to more massive destruction. If this is the best they can do, they should step down immediately. Benedict gave them the example.

This settlement has slowed down considerably. In any case, another 6 and half feet to go…

<quoted text>No need for lay and diaconal administrators. Close some quasi-empty churches in Buffalo, Dunkirk, Niagara Falls, Batavia, and other places, and you will have plethora are extra priests available for parishes in the diocese.
Start with St. Joseph's Cathedral where less than 200 attend weekend Masses (combined).

The list of which Catholic schools in WNY might be closed on consolidated hasn't been made yet, according to the Diocese. But schools in areas including Cheektowaga, West Seneca, and Orchard Park could face closure.

Rumor has it that you are working on buying Father David a church. Is this true, Lavern?
Will you be furnishing it with all of your Holy relics, statues, baptismal fonts, pictures, etc that you acquired through out the years?

Bonjour a tous!
Could someone tell me what's happening in the parishes on the West Side? I was there many years ago for awhile, around Immaculate Conception, Holy Cross and Holy Angel's parishes. Merci.

Holy Cross could be one of the ugliest in anywhere not just in Buffalo. Proof that nobody has any taste anymore. No wonder they want to tear down St. Ann and are happy to have St. Gerard rot. What a great group of losers! And we worry that there is a priest shortage? Too bad they don't all leave immediately. There is no shortage of lazy, louzy ones.
