Thank God for the Pauline Fathers. Corpus Christi would have been razed long ago just like what they want to do to St. Ann. What ever their faults I will take one Pauline over 100 Kmiec and Malones any time. The two worst Bishops this diocese has ever had.
It should be torn down. I am tired of my tax dollars being spent for its restoration. Dear preservationists, spend your own money on that church that is empty seven days a week. No wonder the Paulines assigned there turn in to such drunkards and filanderers, there is no one there to minister.

You are not the only one paying taxes. I do not like paying taxes for public schools that don't function and I don't like paying taxes for senior citizen centers that are babysitting people with money and organizing trips to the Casinos. Should they be closed too? Should the Historical Society be closed? The Museum of Science, the Art Gallery? The Navel Park and the waterfront that people only go to in the summer? Why don't YOU go door to door on the east side? We have people like you already in charge. We see the results of your superior thinking.

Nobody is asking for your tax dollars. But there are many people who would like to be allowed to raise their own money for what they believe in. You don’t have to be a Catholic or even a believer to appreciate the arts. Besides, your tax dollars are supporting a lot of public buildings which are half empty and used by a limited number of people, like the arena, Rich Stadium and even City Hall.

Ben Fiore is the new pastor at St. Michael's. Jut how long are the Jesuits going to be able to keep it open? It will eventually close and be joined as an alternative worship site with St. Lois. Later, it will eliminated altogether. You can expect mst of he alternative worship sites to be closed, sooner, rather than later.

There are a lot of churches locked up during the day and they are not in a high crime area , what's their excuse? You just have a vendetta against Corpus Christi. You should go to mass there sometime. One of the priests even sounds Catholic and smart...a sure sign of not being from Buffalo.

Now we have a three way race for the worst Bishop. I thought Head had that title locked up. But they can share and pass the crown around and be the unholy Trinidy.

Complain all you like. However, there are only two churches in the Buffalo diocese that are prevented from being closed and they are St. Stan's and Corpus Christi. And if came down to only one church, Corpus Christi would still remain. This agreement was made with powers that go beyond the diocese of Buffalo and before this blog ever got started.

This coming Saturday arrives a 'famous' secretary, former secretary to St. Peter's in Lewiston. Get ready for a very rude awakening. By Christmas your school will be in jeopardy since the parish coffers will be almost nearly empty. Face the reality of parish life!

St. Raphael's parish announced in last week's bulletin that all diocesan debt is paid off in full. What a good news for that parish and parishioners with their great generosity. Congratulations!

Why is he asking for another $40,000 to renovate the building next door to the church? Since Catholic Charities moved out, why is he renovating?

Perhaps, he needs total privacy!
