Gee, hypocrisy never stops in the RCC since it's been estimated between 60%-80% of the priesthood is queer.

Jesus never went to mass. There are many other belief systems that may accept new members. Good luck!

Yeah and half the people in the Bible according to you. Of course anyone openly sinning or your favorite divorcees also cannot partake.

Doesn't matter where it is, any thread concerning gays and ole nephie zooms right in.

N2, Catholics, all of them, can go to Mass, even divorced and remarried ones, sitting right out there in the congregation.
NO ONE is supposed to 'partake' of Holy Communion unless they have been to Confession. You do remember bout Confession being on Saturday? Church Sunday? You don't?
Wonder when it became everyone's business who sinned and who didn't and who is 'partaking' and who isn't other than Gods, nephie. Cause it is NONE of your business.

*N2 is attempting to enlighten others about a faith he rejects, too funny*

Doesn't matter where I post, Nettie zooms right in. I have a customer who was Catholic who divorced a cheating husband. The Priest tried to talk her out of the divorce, she refused as he cheated many times. She was forbidden from taking communion. She is not Catholic anymore.

I never said it was my business Nettie. Why do you constantly make up these lies?

Obviously Nettie didn't even bother to read the article. The title is misleading, it was about communion. Nettie didn't check any facts, just burst in guns blazing and lips lying.

That is very untrue, what you just stated, Nephie
I am divorced and I can certainly still receive Holy Communion.
Divorce itself does not prevent you from still being a Catholic.
OR receiving communion.
You are misinformed. AGAIN.

No, I didnot read the article yet, nephie. I was replying to your stupidity.
I know very well the whole thing about sin and Holy Communion and who can partake and who cannot in the Catholic Church, nephie.

Hint: you, nephie, do not.

Contrary to popular belief, a Catholic person may get divorced and still receive communion. A Catholic person cannot receive communion if they have gotten remarried after a divorce without receiving a declaration of nullity (annulment) for their prior marriage. Remarriage, without a declaration of nullity for a prior marriage, is against the moral teachings of the Catholic Church. So if a person is remarried they should not receive communion until one of two things happens: one, their prior marriage is deemed to be sacramentally invalid, which can be done through the annulment process. If that option is not available then in order for the person to receive communion, they must separate from the person they have remarried, or else not receive. http://sites.google.com/a/stpaulcatholic.net/...

Nephie, IN the Catholic Church, Holy Communion is about whether you accept and follow the teachings OF the faith, not what anyone else who is there, including the leaders of the Church, are doing.
And I follow my conscience, nephie, when it comes to gays.

1782 Man has the right to act in conscience and in freedom so as personally to make moral decisions. "He must not be forced to act contrary to his conscience. Nor must he be prevented from acting according to his conscience, especially in religious matters."53

Well this article clearly shows the Clergy of the RCC determines who can receive communion. Your opinions are meaningless. The person I spoke of left the RCC because of this, and no, she did not remarry. Was there not someone in the last year who was denied communion in the NorthEast because of some such sin issue!

The issue is not gay, the issue is any unrepentent sin.

Dutch gay Catholics, you're all welcome at my place. I have good wine and decent crackers. I'll put on a bathrobe and you can pretend you're cannibalizing your amazing disappearing godman to your heart's content.

I don't really care what you think of my opinions, nephie.
You are not Catholic.

You are not Christian.
The ultimate Being Who knows who is repentant is God, so why does the RCC ban people from communion?

Are you asking this question about the Catholic Church of ME, you know, the poster you do not deem to be a Christian?

rotflol

Because the Church holds that authority, nephie.

You ARE talking about the Catholic Church, aren't you?

There are many, many Catholics who hold differing views here, and I am one of them.

The Catholic faith itself remains the same, Wayne, that is the point.
