Thousands of B.C. forest workers jobless as sawmills shutdown, some fear forever

yea I have worked at a sawmill in Terrace and now I am laid off or I mean terminated now due to seniority running out. I have loved working at the mill and guys were awesome to work with.....Now I am out of work and life is hard. work is hard to find for me. Family of 6 altogether. Yea I relied on the mill. It was a good life. Now I am in sorrow and no I didn't expect this to happen. Everyone who say just move on. Its hard when you are use to the money and the "Stability", Yea thats funny now but thats how its was, I was suppose to retire at the job.
Well now I have gotten a DUI pretty much the week I got laid off. July 2007. Biked my kids around for over a year. SOld my house and now in Government housing with my kids. Its like a shoe box. Searching hard for a job. Also finished a millwright course, no jobs out there. Yea now thats my poor pathetic life, now that the sawmill closed. SO dont say I should have expected it. Life is now hard and cant get E.I anymore and am searching for that new career.
