So now every fenderbender is news? Come on, dude. I'm in Maple Ridge several times a week and it seems like a nice town to me.

I agree with the lady above. it is time something is done with the "frumpy" town of Maple Ridge. It also has a bad reputation to anyone west of Maple Ditch as it is nick named. We have no shops which has been a topic for yrs. The weeds along the HWY'S. The abandonned lots along the hwys and the empty stores. Maple ridge is highly unkept and is a total eye sore. I have my home on the market and am moving. C'est la vie

Sir sorry. One other thing. The only types that seem to suite Maple ridge are either unemployed, on welfare or have a drug issue and a harley parked in the drive way. Worst hospitals aswell with a highest death rate in the lower mainland. Hmmm bad place to raise the kids too..

Last time I checked that part of Burke Mountain that was clear cut is actually a part of Coquitlam not PoCo.

It is sad to see how some people describe Maple Ridge as a town for unemployed, junkies, etc...I guess Stephen clearly lived in a bad part of town! Every town and city has it's good things and bad things...I have yet to hear of a town where everyone is perfect! I live in Maple Ridge myself and let me tell you Stephen that both my husband and I are highly educated (Engineer and Teacher) and as thus are not unemployed or any of the other things you described Maple Ridge residents as!
Guess some people really need to go out and look before assuming such nonsense!
