Ridiculous! Speaks Very Poorly for that particular Store Manager and the corporation should this actually be their store policy. Had the act of the employee been presented in a positive light, it may well have helped this corporation instead of hurting it.

One Timbit? That's nothing. My roommate works at Timmy Ho's overnight and I go there regularly to make a "pickup" for him. Everything gets thrown out at the end of the day, so he has decided "why let it go to waste?" BTW, there's always a TON of Timbits left at the end of the day.

I read this and thought "you have got to be kidding". While I don't condone stealing, this was not that type of situation. This was a regular customer was it not? Did the manager even bother to get all the facts before firing what sounds like an employee who was acting in the best interests of her store. Obviously other management at this corporation saw the situation for what it really is.

I hope Tim Hortons losses the regu;ar customer. Obviously the customer spends money in the store all the time so if she doesnt come back then the might think twice about giving a 16 cent timbit away.
