Harper says recognition of Kosovo has no bearing on Quebec independence

- Prime Minister Stephen Harper says Canada's recognition of Kosovo should have no bearing on Quebec.

While some Quebec nationalists are pointing to Kosovo's new independence as a sign they should push for their own state, Harper says there is no comparison.

The prime minister, speaking in London, Ont. at an unrelated event, calls the Kosovo situation "very unique."

Harper says Kosovo was born out of bloodshed and suffering that prompted the involvement of the international community, which essentially created a separate state. Read more

I strongly believe (personally) that Quebec is already independent in the language area. Harper is an apologist for Washington policy, nothing more nothing less, and a defacto supporter of independance through terrorism.

Harper in his unquestioning support of American State sponsored terror, sends Canadians to die for American causes.

And our military, the liberals all support him as he paints those who would a negotiated settlement as in every other internal conflict that has been settled throughout history, supporters of terrorists.

Canadians need this bovine bunch of ideologue to be at the helm for a while as they have needed them in the past.

Canadians need to have things really F*cked up for a while so that they can react as they have after every conservative government since the beginning.

Have a look at our history and you will see regular periods of regression even when the conservatives called themselves "Progressive."

These periods were followed by a reactionary period of optimism, progress as Canadians rebelled at Tory mismanagement and fear.

You got it, the only way to independance is through violence, whether or not it was aggravated through the "victim party" Just as "foreign fighters" blended in with the Albanian population prompted harsh responses from Serbian forces.

That is the precedent Harper has backed by recognizing Kosovo independance. He also backs Osama bin Laden by default.
