RCMP investigate death of 3-year-old girl

Hello, Melissa Audy needs a greiving counselor, someone to help cope for the death of her daughter. She didn't murder her child, it was a freak accident. the other foster family didn't really look after that child, but also neglected her and yell at her. the father is a pot head and is a pill popper. the grandmother yells at the little kids. the kids are safer with melissa. The Fathers sister was raped in the same home at the time they had a party going on, and no one new until it was too late. the child and family services were involved with melissa was only because she was giving them to the father to keep, why should she be the single mom, with 4 kids to support and struggle daily with mommy duties. When the father can look after them, melissa has a hard life than anyone knows, even as a child, why would she hurt her own. Its not fair how the compare similarities to the 5yr old kematch child, both cases are totaly different. that mother literally hurt and killed her child but melissa didn't.

Well this girl has been denied bail...hmmmmm?why only the system and herself knows why..the family is now coming out with all of the horror stories about the abuse that this GIRL put her poor, innocent children through...Yes i agree with you that it is hard being a single mom...but to do this too your own flesh and blood!!!!she had too have known what she was doing, seeing as how she fought so hard too get them back into her care,only to turn around and do exactly what i think everyone beleived at some point or another she WAS CAPABLE OF!!!

maybe she was deny bail because she doesn't have the money or she is mental unstable, that will come out in time ..everyone needs help and a chance to redeem oneself....as for the family coming out and say that abuse was frequent and if thus is true , than they should be charge with accessories to the murder..let wait and see what fail us and say us becuase we're all manitobans

3 years ago I lost a son who was tragically killed,by my own grandfather, and it was an accident and to this day I love my grandfather more than I did yesturday. when I heard about this I was deeply sickened because I know who Melissa Audy is. I have no sympathy for her or her family, that whole family is dysfunctionally demented!
She deserves to stay in jail for the rest of her life and live with this guilt, anyone who strikes or raises their voices at a child dont deserve to be parents. There is only one judge and that is God....Melissa has it coming and may he have mercy on your soul!

the father is everything that is stated by by person you are bashing as for the family members invovled are not in horror and we are behind melissa there is only one family member in horror. she is less to be desired as a parent and only trying to get name in the paper. Irene Simpson-Campeau should not even open her mouth when she used to abandon her children, her late husband raised their children in Alberta while keeping a job down.So tell me who really loved their children?

Everyone in this world has it hard every day, it doesn't give them a choice to take it out their kids by killing them. How would you know what went on in the home. The whole point is that Melissa is guilty of killing her kid and she has to live with it all her life.So What if the father is a pot head, Melissa is an alcoholic, she drinks all the time, She never even threw her kids a birthday parties, It just shows on how much she cared for her kids.An no John's sister was not raped, it just shows how much gossip you believe and how mean people could be. All that really matters is that Justice is going to be done for this little girl that had to leave us too early. It was a big mistake for the 2 kids to be returned to Melissa and it will not happen again. No kid is safe with Melissa, no matter what the age. I know if i have my kids near her i would tell my kids to run for their lives, who knows when the next time she'll snap.

Harvey never raised his children alone and they were not raised in Alberta, it just shows how much you know about this family. Good for you to be behind Melissa but there is hard evidence to prove Melissa did kill the baby and thats why she's being charged with 2nd degree. If she didn't kill the baby then why are they charging her? It's because she's guilty and now people know.Both family and friends know on how abusive Melissa really was but didn't know that she was capable on killing her OWN child, her OWN blood. For goodness sakes she gave birth to this child and then gave the child to the father's sister, then go a beg the sister to return the baby to her 2 and some years later. When the sister did returned the baby to Melissa, she goes and kills the baby. It just shows she never cared for the kid. That just does not make sense, all it took Melissa to kill the baby was 4months and 14days, it didn't take her long.May God have MERCY on her soul on Judgement Day. Good Luck

Hi how are you all? Well this story certainly has been quite interesting....i applaud all the people who have voiced their true feelings and thoughts on this whole crisis and tragedy. I don't see how she was granted bail, but none the less, she was and was even allowed too visit her other children...WOW!!!!! Now that is F-IN messsed up....with everything that has been happening with children, youth and adults concerning violent and abuse related issues the people who put her where she was go and grant her Bail...what the???? the justice system and childrens welfare are so so failing. I feel that there could, and should be a lot more done to protect everybody from any sort of violence and that is what our wonderful government agencies are supposed too be doing RIGHT NOW!

Do you know the mother has a child with her first cousin? I mean, how screwed up is that? I really feel sorry for her other kids because when they have to talk about their parents they will say my mother killed my sister. I knew this (melissa) and let me tell you she is no June Cleaver. I think it is so messed up when people defend her. They should have helped Venicia. CFS is the cause of all this. They should fricken keep a closer watch on these kids. Thanks to them the father lost his child and the mother still has rights. I hope Melissa has a good explanation when she faces God's wrath....

CFS is not the cause of this. If Melissa chose to lead a better life than the baby wouldn't have had to live this kind of life. What kind of mother lets her common law abuse her baby in ways that he did? It's time to stop blaming other people, like CFS, if she didn't murder her child she allowed it to happen. She could have called for help, but she chose not to. It's such a sad situation. I hope both Melissa and Jason get what they deserve, but they won't because of our crappy justice system. They shouldn't even put up a fight. What they did is horrible.

Whoever wrote this is out of your mind, you don't know what hell your talking about, that little girl is dead after being placed back with her mother it only took a few months for the supposely freak accident to happen (whatever). After 3 years of fighting for the 2 children that the father's sister was looking after going to court and everything just for the Aunty to give the chidren back that's just plain stupid that one to is to blame, she knew exactly what Melissa was capable of. that's the reason why she took the children in the first place.

Gosh it's is so good too get such influential feedback on some of the comments posted on this page. If only half of the comments were aimed at the government agencies, metis child and family services, social assictance whom i presume is hassisting melissa now with her daily basic needs too live hahahah go figure! These are the people who need to see these comments and how we as strong, proud aboriginal people feel and they need to be aware that we think their systems just don't WORK!!! I'm sympathizing with HER if you read carefully that is....i just hope she never has anymore kids and all people who have done what she has will LEARN and PAY in unjust ways.
