Should I move to Lethbridge?

I'm an immigrant new to Canada, I am planning to start my bachelor's degree this fall.
Unfortunately I am not a millionaire so I can't afford studying wherever I want, so I was thinking about good universities in small cities, the only one I found in Alberta was U of L.
I know Lethbridge is only 2 hours away but I will buy a car only 3-4 months from now, and anyway I was wondering if it's worth the trip.. I know Lethbridge is a small city, the question is how small.
Is it like completely dead and boring? Are there any nightlife? Is it a nice place to live while studying?
